Bridesmaid help?

Ok, so the theme for my wedding is very "classic, antique, and a touch of old hollywood. So far everything goes towards that theme, but I can't seem to find any bridesmaid dresses for an understandable amount that don't look too modern. I considered half veils/gloves, but I'm trying not to slip over into the "Costumey" place. Any suggestions?? My colors are navy, cocao brown and ivory (although if I can find that antiquey turquoise, that may replace the navy--we'll see!) Thanks knotties!

  • I'm rather fond of unique-vintage.com.  But styles haven't changed that much; if you want Old Hollywood, any long, sleek dress should work fine.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

This probably sounds unconventional, but have you tried Nordstrom's wedding website? It's off of their main site, and I just got their catalog and they had some dresses in there that had that glamorous vibe. Also, have you been reading stylemepretty.com? I've seen several weddings recently on there that do the old hollywood thing, and they always credit the bridesmaid dress designers. Sorry I wasn't more help; my girls did different style Coren Moore dresses and they are PHENOMENAL to work with, but they're not really old hollywood.
