    technically the walking dead was written BEFORE 28 days later even came out, so thats just a coincidence. A lot of people have brought it up, but its a pretty classic concept for the protagonist to wake up and find the world has changed.

    I had a few screaming at the tv flailing my arms around moments, but it wasnt bad. I normally cant handle zombies but this show is really good. Its not JUST zombies, there is a lot of story and character development too. Its quite touching in some points.

    I can't wait to see it tonight. But the similarities to 28 Days Later (which isn't even a zombie movie) didn't bother me at all for some reason.

    Like Nebb, I like the character development in it. I just think it's great that it's a zombie show that really gets deeper into what life would be like if something like that happened instead of just a 90 minute movie. But then again, I'm biased because I love anything zombie related.

    If I were to write a zombie apocalpyse movie, the protagonist would go on like a bender in his basement and pass out for a few days and then wake up. None of this hospital stuff. Or do a Walden pond thing in the wilderness only to come back to civilization and it be destroyed. Something like that.

    ETA: ooh, or Astronauts returning to Earth after losing communication and then autopilot kicks in and they land in a body of water and find that zombies have attacked. That could be too Planet of the Apesish, though.

    Me too!  i practically hit my husband and was yelling "was that a rock?! they can use a fuckin rock?!"  Makes sense though.  Last episode, the mom-zombie could turn the doorknob.  I guess I just chalked that up to muscle memory, not reasoning skills like bashing a rock against glass to get in.
