Is it ok to have the bridesmaids and maid of honor in different legth dresses? The wedding is at 5pm and I found beautiful cocktail lehgt dresses for the maids, and a long gown for the moh.

    Shouldn't really be a problem from an etiquette standpoint, as long as the dresses are within the ladies' budgets.

    I've seen that done before! Did your MOH want a longer dress? Or was it just so she stands out?

    We're doing mixed lengths as well, I think it's absolutely fine.  Two of my BMs have long dresses, my MOH is planning on cocktail length, and the other two BMs haven't decided for sure yet, but are leaning towards cocktail length.  I didn't pick out styles or anything like that, I just asked everyone to wear a black dress.
