    CONGRATS!

I remember when you had over 2 years...my how times flies!!  What they say is sooo true...it will start to come really fast now!  Our engagement will be over 2 years as well, and I think I'm in shock that we have just over 2 months left!  Your day will be here before you know it!!

By the one year mark we had:

    -Venue
    -DJ
    -Photographer
    -Minister
    -Wedding dress (ordered)
    -STDs sent
-BM dresses chosen (although I later changed my mind!)

    Still needed:

    -Florist
    -Limos
    -Honeymoon
    -Order BM dresses
    -Choose FG dress
    -Tuxes
    -Invites
    -BM/GM gifts
    -Shoes & (most) accessories
    -Find RD location
    -Block hotel rooms
    -Choose veil
    -Engagment photos

And as of right now at the almost 2 month mark, we still have to:

    -Send invites
    -choose rings!

    CONGRATS!!
I still need to book honeymoon, get wedding rings, order BM dresses, book RD spot, do our classes through the Church, send STDs.
I'm sure there's MUCH more...but that's what's on the radar in the near future.

Oh no, I am feeling very far behind!!

We have 1 year to go as of today!!! YAY!!!! But I just booked our reception and that's about it! (Although our venue includes catering, cake, etc.)

I also bought my dress and picked out BM dresses (need to order still). Met with the church (although still need a deposit and to figure out times) have a florist but need to do deposit. I am researching photographers and DJs and thIat's where we are at!

Should I be worried?!?! I am a teacher and only teaching summer school part time right now, so at least I have about another month with extra free time to get some things done!

Congrats!!! It is going to fly - esp. when you get to like 8 months to go!

I guess it all depends on how long your engagement is. Our total engagement will have been 16 months. I think at the year mark, we had the venue, photographer, and DJ booked.

    CONGRATULATIONS KIM! So exciting!

At the one year mark we had the following done:

    ~Venue booked (ceremony and reception)
    ~Photographer and Videographer package booked
    ~DJ booked
~Honeymoon booked (we were anxious to get the villa we wanted at the resort we wanted since it was such a small resort, plus we researched honeymoons for a few months before deciding and ultimately booking)
    ~Colors and theme picked out
~Had engagement party and handed out STD's to the guests who attended and mailed out the rest.
~Some DIY projects such as cake table letters and bridal and grooms suite signs were done earlier on.

    Still needed to do:

~Book florist (I snagged Jane in October which was only 8 months out, I still rave about that!)
    ~Order wedding gown
    ~Choose bridesmaid dresses
    ~Choose officiant
~Choose and design the DIY invitations
~Book hair and makeup artists and have trials
    ~Choose and order wedding rings
~Put wedding announcement in local newspapers
    ~Engagement photo session
    ~Boudoir photo session
    ~Purchase bridal party gifts
~LOTS and LOTS of DIY projects
~Purchase veil, shoes, jewelry, garter set, and all other wedding day accessories.
    ~OOT Welcome Boxes

In conclusion, doing a lot of DIY projects earlier on was extremely helpful and I honestly wasn't too busy in the last month. Granted, I was stressed with making sure everything would come together and with last minute errands, but I had a ton of stuff done and waiting to go before the final month or two. And Etsy was my new best friend! I ordered a ton of stuff from Etsy ranging from garters to little signs.. my ceremony program fans.. jewelry.. etc. LOVE Etsy! :0)

    Congratulations Kim!

We only has a 13 month engagement, so we didn't have a whole lot done at the year mark...  I think we booked our hall, or we were in the process of booking it.    We booked all of our major vendors (florist, DJ, photographer) within the next month though :)

As of now with 3 weeks to go we still need to:
*get our ceremony / reading / vows
*I have a few little DIY projects left to finish up
*go for my final fitting (8/4)
*dye my crinoline again (this time with the right dye for the fabrics)
*seating chart & print escort cards
*programs (if we have time to do them - if not, oh well)
    And the least fun one...
*Pay off all of our vendors :(

    Congrats Kim!!

I can't believe it's only a year away, I remember when you announced your engagement, I wasn't even married yet.  It seems like yesterday, and it was almost a year and a half ago.  Time flies.

It looks like you got a lot done so far, I can't help with what we had for a year because we only had a seven month engagment =)

Yay!!  Congrats on reaching the 1 year mark fellow 2011-er!

When I reached the 1 year mark (last month), I had booked ceremony/reception venue, photographer, officiant, and DJ.

Wow, seeing what everyone else had done at the 1 year mark, I feel like I'm behind!  Good thing I'm making a trip back to CT next month to take care of more wedding stuff ;-)
