1) Do you celebrate Christmas? If not...what do you celebrate? If so...do you celebrate for religious reasons or are you shallow like me and only celebrate it because you like sparkly lights and gift giving? Yes, I celebrate Christmas because I'm materialistic and like sparkly things.

Blue) What is your favorite Christmas movie? Miracle on 34th St (the original, but in color)

Cheese) How old were you when you figured out Santa wasn't real? (If you still believe he is real, feel free to elaborate.) Probably about 8? I noticed the bootprints in the chimney looked exactly like my father's pair of boots. My parents were just happy my younger sisters didn't hear me.

Thirty-seven) Who is your favorite reindeer and why? Vixen. With a name like that, why not Vixen?

Beer) Do you have a nativity scene in your house? If so...is it a standard one or do you have something like Star Wars figurines in it like my friend does? Nope.

Broom) Do you get a tree? If so...have you put it up yet? If you have any animals, do they try to destroy the tree like mine do? Bonus points for PIP. I think we're ordering our (fake) tree this week. I lost the fight in fake vs real. We have no decorations and I have no idea when we're going to get it, put it up and decorate it.

Blue) What is your favorite Christmas movie? The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (old TV Movie)

Cheese) How old were you when you figured out Santa wasn't real? (If you still believe he is real, feel free to elaborate.) About 6 or 7. I found all the presents unwrapped WEEKS before Christmas. And they all had AAFES stickers on them. My mom said sometimes Santa shops early and hides stuff so he can get to every kid's house. I knew Santa was NOT in the military so he couldn't shop there. I stopped believing right then.

Thirty-seven) Who is your favorite reindeer and why? Prancer, because the commercial for the Prancer movie cracked me up. Praaaaaaaancer is in the shed near my house!

Beer) Do you have a nativity scene in your house? If so...is it a standard one or do you have something like Star Wars figurines in it like my friend does? My mom gave us one she made years ago. It's needlepoint and the cat loves it.

Broom) Do you get a tree? If so...have you put it up yet? If you have any animals, do they try to destroy the tree like mine do? Bonus points for PIP. We tried a big tree, but our cat Bella likes to climb inside. So we keep a fake 4-foot tree and tape it down to the table. She leaves it alone.

I like giving gifts more than getting. I sent H's Christmas gifts out on Monday and I can't wait for him to get them. Everybody has already told me their us gift cards so I don't have to fly back with gifts, so not too much to look forward too. And I already bought myself a laptop from H, so no surprises this year.

I think my brother started telling me the day he found out, and then proved it to me when I was about 4 by breaking into my parents closet and showing me all the gifts from "Santa" in there 2 weeks before Christmas.

Thirty-seven) Who is your favorite reindeer and why? Prancer, becuase I like to call my dog Prancer when he walks all prissy, and Blitzen because whenever you see funny things made out of the reindeer Blitzen is always blitzed.

Beer) Do you have a nativity scene in your house? If so...is it a standard one or do you have something like Star Wars figurines in it like my friend does? Nope. My mom has a Willow Tree people one, but that's the closest we get.

I love presents and sparklies but I also love the story of baby Jesus.

Cheese) How old were you when you figured out Santa wasn't real? I was old to believe and was the only one left in my class who did. I think it was 4th grade. The kids were giving me shiit about it and I went home to tell me parents how clueless these poor kids were who didn't believe in Santa. My mom felt bad that I was the only one left who still believed and told me the truth. I burst into tears and screamed "You LIIIIIIIIIED TO MEEEEEEEEEE!" over and over, ran into my room andslammed the door. I came back out and asked "What about the Easter bunny?!" My mom had a scared face and shook her head no. This made me scream into hysterics again and run to my room. My mother loves telling this story now. I was such a little drama queen, haha.

No, we aren't getting one because we are going home to Florida for like 10 days. I have always had real trees though and refuse to get fake. The best part is how the tree smells! I celebrate Christmas. Mostly for shallowness but also weirdly for religious reasons - weirdly because I'm not sure about those reasons and might be changing into a Jew soon. More presents for Hannukah! (sp? Oy vey I have a lot to learn)

I think I was 9. We moved houses and I asked my big sister how Santa would find us. She told me he wasn't real.

We had a tree last year and the cats actually didn't destroy it. We aren't going to this year because we'll be up in Wisconsin then.

1) I've always celebrated both the religious aspect as well as the sparkly aspect.

Blue) It's a Wonderful Life & National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

Cheese) I couldn't tell you how old I was. I just remember not being allowed in mom & dad's room during the holidays and then one year had to go in for something and all the presents were on the far side of the bed all wrapped up.

Thirty-seven) I've always like Rudolph's shiny nose.

Beer) Standard nativity scene. It's really tiny and falling apart so I plan on investing in a nice one from Lenox one of these days.

Broom) I'm allergic to the real thing. My sisters & I always used to get sick during the holidays growing up & we never knew why. The last year we had a real tree my dad got frustrated trying to fit it in the stand so he threw it across the living room. My got upset and went out and bought an artifical tree right on an after-Christmas deal. Nobody got sick after that. My artificial one needs to be replaced in the next couple of years as I am running out of room for all the ornaments.

I think I was about 6 yrs old. My Mom cried bc one of the kids at the babysitters house told me at naptime. My Mom didn't want me to know that soon. I will say it did spoil it for me, no matter how hard I tried to forget.

I have a 4ft fiber optic tree that I have used for the past 3 yrs. I was never in my old apt for Christmas, always went to my parents and Grandma's, so it was never worth getting a real one.

This year, we are using it again bc it is just H and I. We aren't going home and won't have much if any at all company over, so again, not worth it. I long for a real one, but we also don't have a lot of space in the living room.

I have a traditional one, handcarved. It was a gift several years ago and I've had a ton of compliments on it.
