When to order candy for buffet

I'm doing the candy buffet idea, and I like to get things done EARLY.  Of coure I don't want the candy to go stale while it sits in a box waiting for the wedding, so how early do you think I should order?  I'm doing things like M&Ms, sugar free lollipops, generally hard items not soft and gummy.

    Since you are doing mainly hard items then you can probably order then today.  Heck, I had a bag of M&Ms in my pantry for over a year and they are still good.

    Just keep the candy in a dry and darkish place and make sure that they are in an airtight container or you make sure not to open the bag they come in.

    But seeing as you are about 2.5 months out, anything you order should be fine.

    Yeah I agree with Maggie that if you are only 2 and a half months away you can definitely order them. Like she said keep them somewhere with a stable room temperature and don't let them get damp, you should be fine :D

    Thank you for the input, ladies!  I'll be keeping them at my mom's house with the other decoration stuff because if it's in our house...it will be eaten immediately.
