To be honest with you, I would never ever book a photographer that ran an ad on craig's list.  Craig's list is notorious for scam artists advertising on there because it's free.  If a business owner cannot even afford to advertise their business in a reputable manner with real advertising venues then they are most likely a scam.  Also, I checked out their website and it looks like it was made with some free creation program instead of through a professional web designer.  This also screams either amateur or scam artist to me.  I would steer clear.  It doesn't matter how cheap it is if the final product is crap or nothing at all.

Actually I am the owner of JHamlin Photography, and I am legit even though I have post on craigslist. I post on craigslist because I know alot of people are struggling with finances right now and my prices are not as high as most photographers who are listed with advertising companys. I have PLENTY of reference from clients that continue to come back to me to do all their photography needs, and not to mention the many people I helped out this year with my church Christmas photo shoot that was reduced by 60% just so that it could help alot of people get their family Christmas pictures done so that they could share them and have the memories and actually be able to afford pictures at such a hard economic time.  If you have any question, please dont hesitate to call me. Thank you so much and have a BLESSED day.

Bottom lines is its your choice. Just do your research and get references if your not sure. Alot of photographers dont have to advertise on high ends sites just to get clients...they do good and feel good about offerring professional photos and dont need to pay a website to get them clients. If your a good photographer thats all that matters, the clients will come to you no matter where you advertise. :)
