s/o breast lumps

Do you do regular self-exams?

I try, but my boobs are really lumpy, bumpy.  I'm always paranoid that I wouldn't recognize a tumor even if my fingers were right on it.

I do them regularly as well, but I have the same concern.

Yeah.  I have an enlarged lymph node in one armpit that has been there ~4 years.  Scary at first, but it's normal.  As long as you know what your breast feels like when it's "normal", you should recognize anything that changes.

I try, but don't know what is supposed to be normal.  DH found a lump in my breast in 2007.  He noticed something felt different.  I had it checked out and they said to keep an eye on it and come back if it gets bigger.  DH felt it, the doctor(s) felt it, but I never could find it.  I still can't.

Nope. I mean, I manhandle them a lot, and yeah, they're lumpy, but I've never been able to find information on how to do a self-exam on breasts shaped like mine, so I'm a little lost, here. "Make circles around the nipple" - Yeah, you try that when your nipple is the bottom of your boob.

But we have absolutely no history of breast cancer, and I breastfed, and I'm pretty sure the doc will find something before it kills me. I am not the least concerned about losing these things.

I do, but I'm not sure how effective it is.

I do--I have reason to be paranoid.
And mine are lumpy, I'm just looking for 'abnormal' lumps--things that change.

Although while BFing?  I don't think it works so well.
