Reception Entrances

HELP!!!! My fiance and I are planning on using the Chicago Bulls theme song as our entrance song at the reception. We are going to have the DJ announce the heights of everyone but we want to come up with something funny to say about them as well (like Will Farrell does in the movie Semi Pro). It obviously won't be anything true, just something to get people laughing. Any ideas on what we could say that doesn't sound too lame and won't offend anyone? I need to figure this out by Sunday!! Thanks!

I would stay away from anything that could be remotely insulting, sensitive, or offensive, including height. Could you just have the DJ announce the person's relationship to you/your FI in a somewhat cute way?

Jane is a collector of left handed can openers.

John is an avid fire sword juggler.

Beth eats orange jello for breakfast every morning.

Jake loves long walks on the beach at sunset.

Ella carrying her pet iguana every where she goes.

Bob once wrestled an alligator.. blindfolded.

Was stuff like this what you are looking for? I've never seen the movie, but I love the idea of random and totally untrue facts about your bridal party.. Maybe you could ask them to make ones up for themselves so you know they are cool with it?

I agree with asking them to come up with their own "opening lines" and if someone can't think of one, then maybe come up with it and run it by them.

I'd also leave the height thing out. Or at least make sure every single person is OK with it. Or if you really wanted to use height and you're already "stretching the truth" with the funny facts, you could make all their heights ridiculously tall/untrue. Like, "John, who towers over us all at 8 feet 5 inches" or something that is obviously false.

I'm not too sure what the DJ could say to annouce you and your new hubby.. (I'm not too creative at that kind of stuff) But your idea is super cute and I'm sure you will get lots of laughs out of it! I read your post to my FI and he started to sing the Chicago Bull theme song and wants to use it! LOL

I went to a wedding where they used the Chicago Bulls music for the entrance. It was pretty entertaining and eveyone seemed to enjoy.
