planning in lexington

I am trying to hunt down a fun location in downtown lexington for my reception june of next year. i love all the old buildings downtown, but don't want to spend more than like $500-$800 on renting the space... anybody have any ideas?

We looked at the Limestone Club. It's a little more expensive than what you listed but it's a beautiful and really neat space. The owner is really really nice as well. I think we would have booked it but it just wouldn't hold all of our guests.

A friend of mine had his reception at the Lexington Arts Center (near Alfalfa). I don't know the cost but he said it was great.

You should check into ArtsPlace. I've been to some events there and its really nice. Plus, I don't think its too expensive.

There are bunches of places. The Arts center across from the library can be very cool. The Bell House is cheap to rent, I think, but has a limited capacity. If your guest list is over 100 it's out. And, pretty much any historic home with an associated society can be rented out - even Ashland!
