[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Drinking.... : I LOVE Laphroaig.  When I've had a bad bad bad day I drink some.  Where did you get to doa  scotch tasting?  I'm super jealous.

The LA Wine Festival was on a studio lot last weekend. FI and I saw an ad for it in February (at our liquor store of choice) and signed up for tickets! And we saw they had some classes/tastings, including Scotch, so we went! We got there 5 minutes early and the guy loved us. He kept telling us to grab another taste of anything we wanted.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Drinking.... : Champagne is my favorite thing ever. I mostly drink red wine, but sometimes I get in the mood for white. FI likes Reisling a lot, so that's generally what I have on hand. Plus a red, which is normally a red zin.

Champagne is high on my list of favorites.  I love red wine but usually it gives me a migraine.  I know I know I keep drinking it despite the issues.
  • What's a warm apple pie shot? I might like that.

Re: Scotch: there's an awesome bar in LA called Seven Grand that has literally 200 kinds of scotch, bourbon and whiskey. They do their own sour mix, old fashioneds, etc. It's SO good. It's usually packed. It's downtown in an old building with taxidermy everywhere. I get so mad when I see people come in an order a Stella or a vodka tonic! I'm a big believer in getting whatever a bar is strong in.

Boo I am no where near LA!  But glad you had an awesome time.
  • Not really a beer drinker

Captain and Coke or SoCo and Coke. I also like Malibu and OJ or pineapple. It makes a good shot, too.

Zwacker - apple pie shot is pretty good, too. I'm a fast drunk with shots. Right to the bloodstream. I used to be able to match the boys shot for shot and drink for drink, but no more.  NOOO tequila anything.

Warm apple cider, apple vodka mixed to make a double shot.  Then you sprinkle some cinnamon on your tongue and a squirt of whipped cream.  Do the double shot and shake in your mouth.  Sooooo good but messy.

  • Favorite Beer?  Beer reminds me too much of pee. I do drink Woodchuck occaisionally, though.

Favorite mixed drink? Cheap skate Rum Punch: Tropical Punch koolaid, half water, half Malibu coconut rum

favorite shot? I'm not really into shots anymore, but I love buttery nipples, kamikazes, good tequila,  and Three Wisemen (everclear, goldschlager, jager). Only the first shot of TW tastes like cough syrup. The rest don't taste like anything ;)

Beer: Strongbow (which I guess maybe doesn't count as beer). Finnegan's and Leine's Honeyweiss tie for second.

Mixed: Johnny Jump Up or vodka cranberry

Shot: Tequila. Squashed Frogs if I want something sweet.
  • where I live a fun dip is grape vodka, red bull, and a splash of sour mix. Taste just like the real thing too
