I remember reading from some of you where you,re from. I'm from California and have lived in different cities throughout my life in CA but now im close to Sacramento, CA. What about you girls?

Minnesota, we live in a suburb about 15 minutes from DT Mpls.

Lived here my whole 30 years, except for a tiny stint where I moved to NYC about 4 yrs ago, packed up my dog and drove there by ourselves. That only lasted about 2 months though, back to MN I went:)

I'm originally from SouthEastern Michigan (go blue!). I'm a suburban girl...my FI is country boy from a super small town in Kansas. His town had less residents than my high school! Now we split our time between Kansas city (work) and Florida (play) and ocassionaly I go back to Michigan (too cold!)

FI and I were both born and raised in or near Milwaukee. We have dreams of picking up and moving somewhere else, but who knows if it will really happen. I think we just want to travel more. For the most part, we really like it here. Chicago is nearby when we need a big city, and Milwaukee is a nice mix of big city and small town.

Plus, it's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que" which is Algonquin for "the good land." How could you not like it here?

I was born in San Francisco and lived in various places around the Bay Area until I graduated college. Right after that, I moved to the DC area and lived in Montgomery Co, Maryland (1 year), DC (7 months) and Arlington, VA (10 years). I moved to Las Vegas in 2001 and have been here since.

And all I can dream about is escaping!

Wisconsin girl, here!
I was born in Iowa, but moved to Racine, WI (just south of Milwaukee) at 10. I went to college in Milwaukee and now FI and I live in a suburb NW of the city.

We dream of moving away as well (Seattle area, or east coast somewhere are would be my choices) but since our entire families are in the Milwaukee area...I'm not sure how likely that will be. But I agree with natrasha...we probably just should travel more!

Born and raised in the Chicago-land area. Lived there for the first 25 years of life. Packed up my car, gather my dog and my ferrets and moved to sunny California 4.5 years ago and promptly meet FI.
Moving to CA was the scariest decision I ever made, but without it I would never have met Ben.

I live in Halifax, Canada, which is on the far East coast. Closest US state is Maine (which is stunning I must say!). I was born and raised in Ottawa though, which is the capitol city of Canada. I spent almost every Christmas holiday in Florida (St. Pete's-Clearwater area) and feel like it is a second home. Still travel there at least once a year.

It was fun reading where everyone was from!

I was born in the Philippines, spent most of my childhood there. Then moved to California, then moved to Vegas. My H was born and raised in Washington. Not sure yet where H and I will be settling down. We'll be moving around a bit because he's in the military.

I am halfway between LA and Vegas so we have to travel to get out, but not too far. I like it here, cheap living and good friends

Yeah Victorville is actually a pretty big town but everyone knows it as "the one you pass on the way to Vegas" haha. I like it here, it has its really nice areas and its not so nice areas but that is like every town. The only thing I hate is there are no real jobs, its all retail and they all pay minimum wage. If you want a real job, you have to commute, so here I am, 70 miles away from home every.single.damn.day.

I was born and raised in Southern California (Los Angeles) and went to school up in Northern California, near Sacramento. I then moved out to Washington D.C. and now I live in Annapolis, MD. My parents retired in Las Vegas and I used to go out there all the time when I was a kid because my grandma lived there.
