    You're absolutely right that you should not ask anyone to throw you a shower; it's an optional gift.  If your mom wants you to have  a shower, she is welcome to throw one for you; if not, maybe someone else will throw you one, maybe not.  I would just reiterate to your mother that if she is so deadset on you having a shower, she is welcome to throw it for you, but your BMs are not interested.  Repeat as necessary.

    No need to stress about it because it is out of your hands. Under no circumstances should you ask anyone to throw you a shower, nor should you have anything to do with the planning. Technically, your mom isn't supposed to throw you one, either. Not everyone gets a shower; I didn't, and it was no big deal.
    What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14
