Duds, I get serious road rage with that sort of thing. I'd call and give someone an earful, probably. I'm always in too much of a blind rage to get anyone's phone number.

I went to bed in a shitty mood, and woke up in one too, but it's supposed to be 74 degrees here today (and sunny), so hopefully that'll cheer me up a bit.

Aww duds, I freaking hate that. I would call and complain.

Good morning! I'm rug shopping online today. I want a really big rug that our sectional can fit on completely but I don't want to spend a fortune (to H, a fortune for a rug is like $200 for an 11x14... silly boy). I'm also buying tickets to the university's baseball game this weekend. H went last night and had a good time so he wants to go again on Saturday.

ETA: Can I do a jute rug in the living room or would that look weird? Is it possible to style around it in a way that doesn't look like beachy or will it just appear mismatched? I really like them for some reason. This is the one I'm looking at.

Holy shiit (literally ya'll).

I spent Monday and yesterday dying of food poisoning with FI. It was AWFUL. I don't wish that upon my worst enemy. I'm just back to work today and walking from the train to my building caused me to be winded. Also, the smells of the city are ultra vom-tastic this morning. I can only stomach rice at this point. Everything else, freaks/grosses me out. FI and I were joking that this is probably the best way to kick-start a diet seeing as we probably lost 20 pounds collectively. Hope the past few days have been MUCH better for you all

Morning, all!

Urgh, lbarr. That's brutal. What made you guys so sick? Food poisoning (anything gastro-related, actually) is just horrible.

The weather is fan-frigging-TASTIC today. Sure, there was frost on the car when I came out, but it's all sunshine, warm temps and blue skies for the rest of the day. I must have SAD or something, because I'm a new person once the clocks change and the weather starts to improve.

On another note, I now look pregnant. Like, really pregnant. I had a mini freakout over that this morning because it's suddenly all very real. I mean, I know there's a baby in there, but now I can see that it's in there and growing. So weird!

1 bathroom + 2 people with food poisoning = BAD. Luckily it didn't turn into a scene from Bridesmaids, we were pretty well-timed

We both split a chicken salad sub late Sunday afternoon. Thank the Lord I had the smaller half because I think our illness was proportional to how much we ate... poor FI.

I am of the opinion that sharing food poisoning only brings you closer. Once you have to jockey for the crapper repeatedly, you have no shame.

This is true. H and I didn't share food poisoning, but we did share the stomach flu last summer, which was special. We do have two bathrooms, but the other one is downstairs at the other end of the basement, aka no-man's land. By the time you'd run down there, well...it would be too late, and not a good thing. I'm glad you guys are on the mend, though, lbarr. What a miserable start to the week. :(

ETA: I must be sick. Even after all this sub/food poisoning talk, I'm sitting here thinking that I'd like a sub for lunch. Yeesh.

Morning Ladies!

Sorry Ibarr hope you guys feel better. There is a virus going around thats similar to food poisoning. In the paper yesterday they are comparing it the Norovirus.

H left me again, he went to Milwaukee this morning and wont be back till Friday. I hate it. Oh well, one more week and we leave on vacation, I'm so excited!

Good morning. I slept like crap last night. We went to see John Carter then got home around 10. I went to bed at 11 but didn't fall asleep until almost 2. I am so tired, which doesn't help my cause of trying to kick caffeine. So today I will be tired and have a headache. Yuck. I am happy we are getting up into the 70's today so I can take my lunchtime walk. I'm trying to fit a workout in wherever I can and lunch seems to be the only time.

lbarr- that sucks. I have never had food poisoning so I can't imagine how awful that must be.

lbarr that sucks. Food poisoning is the worst.

Nebb - totally useless info but a guy I knew when I lived in Florida is the uncle of one of the guys in the Black Keys. I am not sure which one. The guy is really cool too, he fronts the jazz band we would go see every Friday night at the cigar bar that was our home away from home. He's also a photographer and he made several trips to Cuba to take pictures.

I rode my bike to work today, which I am pretty proud of. It isn't that far but I am kind of lazy and it's hard to get motivated in the mornings.

That is cool celtic! Its closer than Ill ever come to meeting them lol

Ive had food poisoning twice. Once I shared with Adam (I had just moved in with him) and we think we got it from eating chicken at swiss chalet in toronto and it was BAD. The 2nd time I am pretty sure was from bad mayonaise at a restaurant (my dad got it too and he had something with mayo in it as well, but no one else got sick and they didnt) and I was laid out. The worst part was that I had just started a new job that week and I couldnt call in sick so I HAD to go in the next day and I was sweating and feeling like absolute garbage the whole day (and the assholes didnt even send me home or anything). Each time, I truly wished I was dead, its the worst.

I am frustrated today. I woke up feeling like crap. Hopefully some tea will help...

I had food poisoning the day that XH left for his last deployment-- and he had it too. At least I was at home and could just chill in the bathroom (except that Simon was a baby then, so I did have to get up and let him out repeatedly), but J was at a base in NJ and he was NOT happy.

Kind of funny, now that I'm looking back on it.

I am in SUCH a good mood because it is so freaking nice out today. I didn't wear any type of jacket this morning and we are supposed to get around 10 degrees above the record today.

I am thinking I better do some online shopping. I need a baby shower gift and some new things for the bathroom I fixed up this last weekend.

Morning all.

Sounds like collectively we have all had pretty crappy mornings.

To me, pretty much all mornings that begin with an alarm clock are crappy though. Didn't sleep good last night. Added up I might have snagged an hour. Par for the course for me though.

Then I get to work at dark 30 and my boss is already gone. Seems he might be trying to avoid me since today is pay day. (I'm his only employee so I get handwritten checks). I'll have to call and confront him later and complain. He did this last pay period too. So I'm pissed.

Hopefully todays work day will be a short one. Its supposed to be like 84 or something here (WTF, Georgia weather) I'm sure next week we will have a deep freeze, thats just how it is in GA.

Ugh, sorry to hear about your stomach issues Ibarr, I don't envy you but I'm glad you feel better.

Good Morning! I'm reveling in how absolutely beautiful today is. Sunny and mid 70s. I can't wait to get done with work and take a nice long walk outside.

Nebb- have fun at the Black Keys! I love concerts and haven't been to nearly enough in the last year. I really want to go to the Hangout in Alabama in May but unfortunately we have such a jam packed May and June there is no way we would be able to.

Lbarr, hope you feel better as the day goes on! You must have been miserable the last couple of days.

I'm pumped for work today. For no other reason than things are going well and business is growing. It's been a long few years and I'm really starting to see my hard work pay off. (I'm done patting myself on the back now)

Happy Pi Day!

I'm making pie tonight!

i'm so tired and sore today. I had extra time yesterday so I decided to make a bid for World's Best Wife. My H had been complaining about how he was going to have to waste a weekend restaining the decks but I strapped on my HRM, and got out there and power stained yesterday. I burned a bunch of calories and got that sucker pretty much done. Just have to do touchups on some spots that soaked a lot up because they were so dry. But I'm sore as hell today. I look ridiculous going up stairs because my leg is apparently not use to that kind of work. At least I can see where my exercise gaps are now.

Although I made a goal to only spend $100 this week (this doesn't include bills) and I thought it would be a piece of cake. Man, I am having a horrible time. I want to buy makeup and candy and shoes and dresses like crazy right now and it just makes me realize how freely I spend money. 3 days to go, I can do it!

We get our kitchen countertops today!!! Wahoo!! I'm excited. It's only laminate, but I don't care. It's a countertop! Now I need a sink, and appliances, and well, the kitchen will be pretty well done!

Thanks Chirp

I felt that way last year (we hadnt gone to a concert since summer of 2010) so I deemed this the year of the concert and we are going to as many as we can conceivably afford. I just love them so much, but they can be pretty expensive.
