On June 11th, 2010 a week before our One Year Anniversary Jeff decided to take me out to eat to celebrate since he wouldn't be in town that day. I met him at his house and he hands me a Blue Nile box. I'm on the phone and while I open it I wondered if it was the ring, but he didn't say anything, he wasn't down on one knee, and I was on the phone! It ended up being a beautiful Necklace with the word Love inscribed on it. I loved it!! I also thought that was the anniversary present.
We head to Downtown Fort Worth for dinner. We were early so we decide to take a walk and we pass by the gazebo where we had our first kiss. We have stopped by this place before, just sat and talked. I didn't think it was weird that we would do this on our One Year Anniversary. We were talking about going ring shopping and he was asking which ones I liked already (We have been looking for 3 months already) and then after a cue I didn't notice he got down on one knee. I said,"What are you doing?" He responded by telling me how much he loved me and how wonderful the last year was for him. I interrupted him by asking again saying, "What are you doing?" (Thinking he didn't have a ring. He told me for two weeks he hasn't bought it yet) He said, "Just listen I have a speech!" I listen and he pulled out the ring from Jared's. He asked me to be his wife.. I said "YES!!!" I can now say He went to Jared's!
Then we hear some random clapping. A homeless man had been watching said, "Good job man!" and walked away. It was entertaining! We headed to the restaurant after that.
When getting to the restaurant they seated us right away and I noticed we were going to a room with a large table. I was like why is it such a big table when I saw my sister!! Both my sisters from Houston were there with my Brother-in-law, nephews, and his parents. I was so shocked and still shaking from the proposal. I just couldn't believe how amazingly perfect it was and Jeff did an amazing job!
