Tam, girl you know I thought of you today b/c as we were driving back to Atlanta from Charleston, there was a billboard on the highway advertising North Carolina vineyards!
That is so funny.  They are advertising for these silly vineyards hard.  My supervisor actually suggested some vineyards to me.  I'm going to check them out this weekend  and drink some good wine too.  I plan on calling first to make sure that they don't charge.  We are taking are e-pics next Sunday, I took my bridal pics today.  More on that later.
    Hair:
I never wrap my hair b/c I usually wear curly styles, even when it's been straightened.  Which is why I do the pin curls at night.  There is a method to my madness - usually when I wear my hair straight it gets greasier faster, so I like to wear it with more body/curls when it's straightened and it lasts longer.  What can I say, I'm cheap and I'm trying to get as many days out of the hairstyle as possible!  LOL!

I'm so going to try the pin curl thing.  So when your hairstylist straightens it, she curls it too?  Like does she do spiral curls?  Did I already ask you this question?
I think twists are still in style, but then again - who am I!!!  I see it all here in Atlanta though, so I think all natural styles are pretty and in style.
I'm glad to know the twists are still in style.  I haven't worn natural hairstyles in a while, so I don't know what's in style and what's not.  I don't see too many natural hairstyles here in NC so I feel like I'm out of the loop.  I'm going to get back into the natural hairstyles though.  What do you twist your hair with, is it the kinky curly?
My hair is mid-back length.  Pic from behind is below!
Wow!  Your hair is so long.  How long have you been wearing your hair natural?
For my honeymoon hairstyle, we decided to wait a couple of days before leaving so we don't feel extra rushed and also so we can spend more time with family/friends that stay in town longer.  So I will wash my hair and twist it the day before we leave, whatever day that is.
That's good.  We're leaving right away, so I don't know what's going to happen with my hair.  It's going to look a mess.  I'm going to look like I'm from another era, but it's cool.  I'll be having fun, so I won't care what my hair looks like.
    E-Pics:
So did you end up at your original vineyard choice and did you have to pay?  Or did you go to the other free one that wasn't exactly what you wanted?   Did your photog have any good suggestions?
We are taking the e-pics next weekend, so I'm still looking for vineyards.  My photographer was surprised to learn that they charged.  She said that she's taking pictures there before and they never charged.  She said she was going to e-mail the vineyard to see if that is a new policy or something.  I'm going wine tasting this weekend, so I'm going to check out a few vineyards.  There is one that I'm considering that's ok, it's not as pretty as the other vineyard, but it's free and there are grapevines.  LOL.  I'll let you know how it goes.

    Bridal Portraits
Today I took my bridal portraits.  That is the worst idea ever!  I'm not sure why people do it.  The whole time I was worried that I was going to mess my dress up and sure enough, I got something on my dress and now I'm so worried that it won't come out.  My photographer said that they pre-treat the dresses so whatever it is should come out.  I hope so, 'cause I'm freaking out about this.  But other than that, I think the session went well.  This photographer is a trip.  He is really really good, but he is so arrogant that it's hillarious.  When I met him at this wedding show I was looking at his pictures and I said wow this bride looks amazing, and I go but I bet she's just gorgeous anyways.  He goes, oh that girl, no, if you passed by her in the street you wouldn't even look twice.  Trying to insinuate that it's his great photography that made her look so good.  He is a mess!  We took the pictures at a park.  It was so beautiful, but it was soooo weird because everyone kept staring at me.  I'm standing there in my freakin' wedding dress, I mean I would stare too.  There was this little girl there and she just could not stop staring at me...like lady, what are you doing all dressed up, don't you know this is a park.  Where are your play clothes? LOL  One guy didn't understand that I was taking my bridal portraits so he goes, where is everyone else?  I guess he thought that today was my wedding day.  Because I'm sure that no1 would imagine that I got all dressed up in my wedding gown just to take pictures.  It was so embarrasing.  But hopefully my mother will like her picture.  I think they will turn out nice, though 'cause he's really good.  I went and got my makeup done at MAC.  She used the mineral makeup, and I know that you said that you were deciding between that and the airbrush.  I would suggest that you try the mineral makeup.  The only thing is that I thought my face looked a lil' shiny, and I know that you said you have oily skin.  So, I don't know.  I would say give it a trial run and see what you think.  In terms of my hair, I may have to try a different style.  My mom liked it.  I e-mailed her a pic, but I just think that the curls will drop, so I'll probably just do a bun and call it a day.  I'll wear flowers in my hair to make it fancy.  I just hate to do that because I wear my hair like that all of the time.  Oh well!  We'll see.
    Ties/Dress:
Glad to hear that both of these situations will be worked out soon.  Man, I see that the last few months before a wedding can truly be stressful!  I need to hear these stories to make sure I don't feel completely devastated when stuff happens (as I'm sure it will) so thanks for sharing!

Yeah, I hope that you don't have as much drama as I am having  But the thing about me is that I stress out over everything anyways, so drama was bound to occur.
    Sleep:
Glad you were able to get back to sleep last night.  Hopefully that continues!  Maybe just thinking about the stretching helps.  LOL!
LOL @ thinking about stretching helps comment.  I'm getting sleepy right now.  I tihnk that Pas's point about going to bed around the same time every night and taking a shower at night does help, because I think that my body likes routine.
    Ring:
    Here it is!

OMG!  Your ring is gooooooooooorgeous!  FI did a great job!  Thanks for sharing.

Well, it's past my bedtime....and from the looks and sounds of it I think it's past FI's bedtime too.  LOL.  Good night!

Man, what an idiot I am!  I kept thinking in my mind that your e-pics were today, but when you cleared that up I distinctly remember you saying they were bridal pics today! Oh well, my excuse is we were on the road for 6 hours, I'm tired and sad b/c I'm going back to work tomorrow.  Frown

That was a hilarious story about the little girl giving you the side eye in the park today.  I'm sure your pic came out gorgeous.  My girlfriend works at MAC here in Atlanta, so I may ask her to try that mineral make up on me before I move.

I have been natural for about 8-9 years.  My hair never grew this fast or this long when I had a relaxer, so I think it's a lot healthier now.

When I get my hair done, my stylist blows it dry, goes over it once (quickly) with a ceramic flat iron to straighten it, then uses the same flat iron to curl it.  It can be spirals, loose waves, etc. - I don't usually ask for a specific style, I just let her do what she wants.

OK I'm sleepy now too - goodnight!
