2 ring bearers?

We have decided to have 2 ring bearers (they are brothers - 6 and 8 years old) because their sister is the flower girl and I didn't want to the oldest brother to feel left out. The kids are very well-behaved and they are so excited their uncle and I are getting married.

Any ideas for how to make this work? I was thinking about having them each hold a pillow with one ring on it, but I'm open to other ideas.

Thanks!

  • I am having two ring bearers, they each get a pillow w/ nothing on it.  maybe fake rings

The role of FG and RB is too look cute and walk down the aisle. I wouldn't worry about anymore than that.  Give them each a pillow with fake rings on it and tell them to smile.

[QUOTE]We actually had the RB carry our real rings because when he found out they would be fake he decided that was "silly and pointless" (his words) and offered to sit out so we didn't have to rent a tux for him to do a fake job.  We figured if he was old enough to come to that conclusion, he was old enough to carry the rings.

[QUOTE]Pillows with one fake ring each, one of each of the real rings, or nothing at all on them would all work well. We actually had the RB carry our real rings because when he found out they would be fake he decided that was "silly and pointless" (his words) and offered to sit out so we didn't have to rent a tux for him to do a fake job.  We figured if he was old enough to come to that conclusion, he was old enough to carry the rings.

  • DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR RINGS!!!!

Give them each a pillow with fake rings.  Have the best man hold onto the actual rings.  (Trust me......)

They can walk down the aisle together.  At that age, you can determine if they are mature enough to stand with you throughout the ceremony, or do their "ring berarer thing" and take their seats.

  • I think it would way cute to have each on one side of the flower girl, I am actually having two flower girls, so i think it is ok. you know everyone loves little kids all dressed up anyways :)
  • Between my fiance and I we have 6 nieces and nephews, 3 of each actually. We are definitely having 2 flowers girls (one of our nieces will only be a year, and too young) and at least 2 RBs. We are deciding if his nephew is going to stand up as a "junior groomsmen" or not instead of having 3 ring bearers.
