the most magical thing is, MY FIANCE PICKED OUT THOSE TILES. Isn't that amazing? my fiance, mr. "arial is a pretty font, isn't it?", chose our kitchen tiling.

Soooo pretty! I helped my parents update their kitchen a couple years ago and had so much fun with it! Now that we are placing offers on houses, I hope we end up with one that is already perfect!

lvissers we were lucky, we really didn't have anything that we HAD to do, but because I am anal-retentive about some things, I decided this backsplash was high priority. I am dumb.

All you jealo..us of cherries... im eating a sundae right now. Its 102 here. Its too damn hot. I needed cold.

And butterfly- yay on awesome tile. I kind of wanted tile, but since our kitchen is rather open, it would like rather funny. But yay awesome kitchen. No yay on the bridesmaid dresses. Hopefully they come in. I would not want to incur your wrath.

I just printed out our table assignments PDF and color coded it with highlighters to indicate every person's entree selection. The caterer needs it because I refuse to stamp anything on the doilies.

Maybe I'll write out the doilies now.

Or maybe I should do my work? Probably not.

HAHA I love this! Sounds like what I would do. I am trying to figure out the easiest way to do this. I know power point has a seating chart template BUT it doesn't have enough tables for me

seriously - there is a ppt template for a seating chart??? this is amazing.

my venue gives me a document that is numbered by table and by seat number, and I just send her a list like this
table 1
seat 1: james smith
seat 2: joe smith

etc. etc.

so the whole highlighting and coloring skill that I got so good at during my law school years will be wasted since I just have to write names down

My venue gave me a hard copy of the seating chart but I want it to be on the computer so I can color code it ect. hahah. I am so picky!

I did what Penny suggested and downloaded the Powerpoint template. The one the venue gave us was boring and a little confusing.

Fiance downloaded a program called Toptableplanner (you can google it) and it allows you to identify all guests, then move them around all over the place and assign people to tables, vary the number of tables and add/subtract as needed, create a customized layout of your venue, make different sized tables, etc. Then you can create a PDF and print it out, although it does kind of print small. But I think that may be because of the length (and not width) of how our tables are organized.

I sound like a commercial for it. But for real, it makes it super easy to do the seating chart. I mean, like less than an hour.

I'm not going to lie, it was kind of fun moving people all around. You can also assign their meals to them online but I wanted mine colored, too, so I printed and colored in yellow, blue, pink and purple.

I am the coolest person ev.ar.

It's so useful. I mean, $20 isn't THAT much. But I do think the program is slightly overpriced. It's helpful though if you anticipate it being a huge PITA to do your seating chart. With 145 guests, we probably would have been ok without using a program. But it's really fun to mess around with.

I am sure it is super helpful but we already did out actual table seating now I just need to give it to the venue in a way that is easy to understand that is why I am thinking this wont be worth my $20. I am very sad I wont get to use the fun tool :(
