So...Bridezillas

DF and I watched after midnight last night while doing our wedding programs. What did you think?

To be honest, after meeting Ivy in person last summer, I don't really think she was too bad on the show so far, just very blunt. I've seen worse on the show. And I have a feeling she had to amp the drama on purpose for the show. But still, I don't know if I would have included the bits with her being a wedding planner--I feel like that is going to negatively affect her business.

Jay and I may even try and tune in on Sunday after our wedding to see part 2!

Ivy, if you are reading, I am dying to know--how much of that was faked?

I didn't think she was that bad either... the other girl was awful.  I've seen WAY worse on the show.  I could have done without all of the yelling she and her mother did, BUT she did warn everyone she was a screamer.  But, I thought that she wasn't too bridezilla.

I've definitely seen worse on that show. It didn't seem like there was too much drama last night, I'm guessing all the scenes with her mom (that were in the preview) will be next week?

I agree!  I think that her mother was worse than her.  I'm excited to see next week's show!!!  I love seeing places that I'm familiar with on tv!

I just thought she was loud...not terribly bitchy or anything. Watching her mom was hilarious for me because my mom is Filipino and I'm also married to a Filipino and I just know how all that goes. Loved that she was throwing out the idea of hiring a clown...that's just not surprising at all of a Filipino mom. Hopefully she was just teasing though.
I also think that being featured on Bridezillas would probably scare off clients.

I didn't think it was bad either.

Marissa- I agree about the bits about her job.  Especially the client she lied to about not being home.   It didn't make her appear very professional on national TV.  I know that was last year though, so I'm sure it is fine.

I am so sad that, not only did I miss it, but we don't have that channel.

I agree with all of what yall said. DH was wondering what I was watching because of all the screaming she was doing. Oh so part 2 is next sunday? I tried to look it up and I didn't see anything, but then again it was almost 12 midnight.

I agree she wasn't that bad! The one that kept threatening & screaming at her FMIL & made her clean her dress with a toothbrush really pissed me off! I couldn't even imagine talking to my FMIL like that! I think my FFIL & FI would kick my a**!!

Whoa thats a lot of exclamation points Laughing

Oh, and I thought it was funny that they made such a big deal about all the stuff she had for the wedding. Heck, I have a freakin' truckload--that's what happens with huge, DIY weddings! And sadly, mine is nowhere near as organized as hers

Oh dang I missed it! I wonder when it will come on again. When does part 2 air? Maybe it will show part 1 before??

I watched it last night.  I cringed a couple of times--like when she said she only wanted certain petals on the cake table (I had a conniption fit when my florist told me there were fake petals on my cake table).  And when she brought all her stuff to her coordinator.  Um, yeah, I had twice that much and when I asked my planner if she had ever seen that much stuff brought to a wedding, she said "it was on up there."  AND I got really upset when our guests started coming in early and we were still out in the bar taking photos.  :)  I guess I was closer to Bridezilla than I thought!

At least I didn't scream or cry or break a toaster.

Don't feel bad Stephanie--that is what Knot Brides do. We plan everything and the little details make our wedding! Think of how many weddings you've been to where everything is same old same old--easy to plan, but not as exciting as the extravaganzas we throw!

We are going to have to use my dad's 15-seat work van to bring everything back!

There was definitely a good deal of screaming, but she comes by it honestly! It did bother me the way she was talking to her bridesmaids, but I'm sure some of that was in jest or amped up by the editing.
