I can't say anything bad about anyone involved in my wedding, everything was absolutely perfect. So I'm just putting the good word out for everyone that made our night the best night ever *tear* The Venue: The Farm @ South Mountain http://www.thefarmatsouthmountain.com/The Farm was an absolutely dream come true for us! It was beautiful, especially at night. Our coordinator answered all our questions, especially when all our questions started to roll in the week before the wedding. There is nothing like having an outdoor Phoenix wedding at a site that doesn’t reminded you of Phoenix at all. I’ll rave about it all day long. They work only with Santa Barbara catering, which can make it a bit expensive and offsetting for someone who likes to pick & choose what vendors they use. But this actually made planning easier for me, one less vendor to look for! They also provided a complementary menu tasting with the caterer, so it’s not as if you are signing up without trying the food (TRY THE FOOD!). Also an added bonus of marrying at a venue that houses three different restaurants (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)? We will have a place to go on our anniversary that will remind us of our wedding. Oh, that makes me smile! Sappiness aside, moving along...

Caterer: Santa Barbara Catering http://www.santabarbaracatering.com/So, I really didn’t have much of an option when I went with SB, because I was 100% set on the Farm. But…I think everyone’s favorite part about the wedding was the food. It was delicious! The servers & bartender were very friendly & attentive. I really don’t know what else to say, they made the reception run so smoothly. We were also very happy with our leftovers. J So even though we really didn’t get an option on a caterer, I probably would have gone with them no matter where my wedding was.
Dresses & Alterations: David’s Bridal in AwatukeeI really don’t have anything bad to say about DB. My initial visit went fairly well. Considering it was an over-booked Saturday afternoon, I did not feel like I was forgotten about or lacked the attention I so desperately needed (JUST JOKING)! I went in knowing exactly what I wanted, but the sales lady suggested I try on a few other dresses of different styles to make sure. Lo & behold, I got a different dress. Most of the alteration staff were great as well. I felt kind of pushed aside on my second dress fitting, but they were short staffed and it really didn’t make my day bad. Plus I got a great deal on my dress, I can’t complain.
Cake: Honeymoon Sweets
http://www.honeymoonsweets.com/The cake tasting was laid back, but the lady we met with was very confident in her product, which was nice. The cake was simple yet gorgeous. They did exactly what I wanted, and the cake wasn’t half bad either (no, it was delicious)! They have an array of different flavors. We went with a marble cake with amaretto & chocolate mousse filling. The amaretto was TO-DIE-FOR. My mom also used them for my bridal shower as well, also yummy! You can go in to the bakery anytime they are open, and they have different desserts & sweets you can buy on the spot. Brownies…cupcakes….tiny pies…DROOL.
Photographer: Kym Ventola
http://ventolaphotography.com/She may have been more excited than me on my wedding day! Fan-freakin-tastic photographer. She worked with our budget and size of our wedding (TINY) to create the perfect package & price for us. Extremely laid back in her approach, which made an otherwise very awkward thing for me (being in front of the camera) very comfortable for me. What really got me is when she made it perfectly clear during our first meeting, “One thing I do not do is black and white photos where the flowers are the only thing in color.” HAHA, I knew I found the one! And after the engagement session, there was no doubt in my mind that we had made the best choice in the world for a photographer. Love her! She is not your average photographer.
Florist: Wild Child Floral Design
www.wildchildfloraldesign.com/
She has been working in floral design for a looong time, and it definitely shows. Her work with my wedding was beautiful. She understood us, and that we didn’t want anything fancy or showy, just simple. She helped to lead us to flower options that fit our wedding perfectly. She was very easy to work with and the flowers looked (& smelled) amazing. A true floral artist, and a lovely personality to boot.
Rings: Studio Vincent @ Scottsdale Fashion Square

We decided we wanted something unique, and that is what we got! It was a little bit of a splurge on my end. Handmade and one of a kind. I have no problem wearing my ring forever.
Other things we used that come recommended: Total Wine for booze galore, Ikea for all our candle needs, theknot.com & etsy.com for favors, my mom for hair & make-up, my husband for designing and printing all the paper goods (he is an amazing man!), and iTunes (shuffle mode) and our old speakers as a DJ
Good luck & have fun girls!
