Sunday night chatter goes here

Who is around?

I am waiting oh so patiently for Game of Thrones and MadMen. Well, not really.

Re: Sunday night chatter goes here

  • Yeah today was a lazy indecisive day for me. I watched the Masters for cripes sake.
  • edited April 2012
I'm sort of here. We spent the day with friends at their house after their daughter's baptism, and now I'm absolutely wiped out. I'm hoping to stay up to watch Game of Thrones, but I'm not holding out much hope for myself.
  • Hey there. I just got back from the grandparent's farm. Now I'm eating jelly beans and planning on exercising......tomorrow.
  • Catching up on Mad Men and The Killing we've been trying to catch up on all the DVR we missed.

Cleaned the house today and just hung out in my pj's. And got to Skype with the Grandbaby. She's getting so big.

    Edie- how was Passover?

  • You're better than I! My house is a disaster. Well, you know when it is not dirty, but stuff is just everywhere so you can justify organizing because it is not dirty? Blahhhh, So not like me.

Yeah, golf. It is strict tradition in my family we watch the Masters every Easter weekend. I am not with my family this weekend though but my husband took over the charge lol.

Had to clean, I cleaned before we left on vacation, and we were gone for 2 weekends. So, almost a month of not cleaning, no! We're not dirty per se, but I needed to dust, vaccum and wash the sheets.

  • Hello :)

I am stuffed, also.  This week is spring break, so I can hold off cleaning until tomorrow, which helps.  We just got back from a long walk and I'm dead, so popping online seemed about all I could handle :P

Edie--I was wondering how they'd make it into a series, as well. I mean, the story is pretty straightforward, so where are they going with it?
  • oooh KD, I missed it, where did you go on vacay?

kd - I didnt know you watched the killing! I really enjoyed the first 2 eps of the new season, but were going to have to start watching it on Monday nights since it conflicts with GoT.

Im in sorta a pissy mood. It has been on and off since Friday when I got an fb invite to a friends bachelorette. When I looked at the event wall, it was started in mid march and everyone "joined" around that date and it was discussed who was staying where and what was going on, and then 2 weeks before the event I was added as some kind of freaking after thought. I know the event isnt about me, but its my freaking best friend who is planning the god damn thing, and its so short notice now that I am not going to have money (I would have if id have been notified when everyone else was) so I just declined and havnt said anything but it still really bugs me that I wasnt included initially. Its making me so irrationally annoyed I dont even want to go to the wedding now.
  • Hi ladies. I'm home and annoyed with H within the first few hours of being back. ;) I love him dearly, and I know he tried, but I hate coming home to a house that has to be cleaned.  He's mentioned the fact that he vacuumed about 5 times.  Awesome. Except there are still dirty dishes in the kitchen, the bathroom is gross (the one room he usually cleans on weekends), and there is still dog hair EVERYWHERE.  Meh. I don't mind cleaning, but quit fishing for compliments. It doesn't help that I'm super tired and haven't had a minute of alone time in about 5 days. I need my 'me' time, and he knows that.

Anyway, enough bitching.  We watched the Masters a little this weekend, Meag, since I was on vacation with my dad.  It is primo napping background noise. ;)
  • KD- ZOMG PUPPY! I wants to steal your puppy. I can't wait until you get him home. Then you can send me pictures of him every day.

We were in England for about 8 days. H had business in Oxford, so we decided to take in London as well.

Nebb- I love The Killing, but I'm SO confused. I kind of wish I'd seen a marathon before the premiere. H forgot that Richmond got shot.

ETA: sorry about the last minute invite, that sucks.

I did too, when it was showing the aftermath I said to adam "wtf is going on?" cause I could not remember. I thought the pace was a lot faster so far this season than last, which was a huge issue with the show.
  • Nebb, I would feel the same way so I don't think you are being irrational. Bparties are usually a good amount of money so it is ridiculous not to get everyone's input.

Listen to this. Two of my best friends are getting married this summer and they live in Mississippi and Alabama so all our friends were going to fly down to Biloxi for a joint party to make it easier on every one to just have one party. I bought tickets when two friends (not really of mine, but theres) pulled out bitching it was too expensive. Ummm wtf we had 3 weeks of discussion and NOW you pull out??? So now my friend feels like she has to have a second bparty and include them when she is home in MA this summer. I hate people not being straight with you.
  • I enjoyed the very first episode of The Killing, but then I gave up because of the pacing.  It was just too slow moving, I've heard good things about the beginning of this season, though.

He is adorable, but he's going to be a handful I can tell. I actually wanted the calmer one that was in my lap all day, he just came up to me and sat down, then curled up in my lap.

But, ultimately he's my husbands decision. The cat is mine.

That would piss me off so much.

A friend of mine who just had a destination wedding, less than a week before the wedding 2 of her friends found out that another girl (that they didnt know) was going to be rooming with them (3-4 people per room) and threatened not to go to the weddng at all unless it was changed, so my friend had to juggle things around and find somewhere else for the poor girl to sleep (and Im pretty sure she incurred costs for it and the girl felt like crap thinking she was unwanted) just because her 2 friends were being selfish shitts. I was so pissed on her behalf.

What is it with men? If they do ONE thing they expect cartwheels. I take on cleaning the house, because truthfully H pays all the bills and he works really long hours. So, I take it all on. But, my god at least help by picking up your shoes, or stop dumping everything where I just cleaned.

Stop picking up bar flies and stalking his fb only to flip out when he says he is staying in and stalk him at the bar he checked into and then being shocked when he is with some other girl. Can't they see how their own immaturity factors in here?? I guess I am becoming the judgy one. Whatever.</div>

Evening ladies!  I just got done with dinner and now we're watching the Titanic special on Nat. Geo.  It's pretty good.  Just scientific enough for my tastes.  pretty low-key day.  We did some house chores, I did some impulse buying at Menards while picking up a birthday gift for my niece to give her mom, and then let my little seedlings have a little outdoor time to start hardening them up to go in the ground.  My tomatoes and peppers are So big!  They'll need to go in soon but I hope the weather cooperates.

Tomorrow i'm taking my sister out for a birthday lunch before we go to a wake.
