I spent about the same amount on all of my BM's - that being said I got a call from my mother a few days after I got engaged and she said 'Your sister is upset you haven't asked her to be your MOH yet.' I asked her because I planned to do so anyway but I didn't spend any extra money on her just because she was my MOH.
My BM gifts are all the same. My MOH has done the same work as my other BMs. I haven't required much labor...1 planning get together evening is all we've had. They all have equally planned my shower.
I spent about $75. That said, everyone should not compare themselves to me. My budget is different than others. & especially since ~$40 is jewelry.
