Anyone else hoping for No's?

So my invites will go out next week and I'm praying, praying, praying for a few No's, I feel like that such a bad thing to say, but my guest list just kept growing and growing! I haven't told my parents yet that the list grew a bit, I dont think they will really mind so much, but I'm still a little nervous to tell them if I dont get any No replies!

Anyone else hoping for No's on the reply cards?

    I am right there with you!!  I love all of my family and friends to death but there's certain people we cannot cut out of the list, but we're hoping to keep it to our "magic number".  Just remember, statistically only 75-80% of the people you invite will RSVP.  Everything will work out!

    I'd say most of our guests are Fi's friends/co-workers, and all I keep hearing them say is, "We've waited a long time for this, we wouldn't miss it for the world!"

    Secretly I say to myself, "Really, its ok if you don't come, I'll pretend you're there in spirit" hehe :)

    I was hoping for NO's and got 40 ppl to say no and a guest list of 152

    Oh my!! Me too!  I am counting on a few no's. I've had a few already since it will be adults only and some people aren't willing to leave their children for a whole 4 hours with someone else. YIPPY!!!

    Hooray for over protection! :P

    I thought I was being a horrible person by wanting NO's. Thank goodness I'm not alone! :-)

    I want lots of No's! I wanted a small wedding of very close family and friends only (maybe 50 or less) and my mom wants to invite everyone and their mother. My FI and I are paying for the wedding and we cannot afford much at all but it's hard to say no to mom so hopefully the guest will do it for me! I sort of feel bad but our budget is what it is.

    lol thats another thing I did, I purposely put 'Adult Reception to follow' on my invites, so maybe they wont come if they can't bring their kids.  I'm also hoping that since its a Sunday night with school the next day that they'll say no too! 

    geez.. I'm evil....

    yeah....good point Gina.....Palm Beach County has school the next day, while it is still Columbus Day! 

    when we sent out our STD back in February....we sent it to people who we didn't think were going to come....that backfired!  people who haven't gotten on a plane in DECADES...are flying in for this event!

    seems every week we got a phone call from a person who we highlighted, thinking not a chance will they come to the wedding.....dead wrong....

    my father texted me one time..."Hi Dee....guess what.  Uncle Bobby and Aunt Lynn are getting on a plane and flying down for your wedding!  First time in 33 years they have flown!."

    my response to him...."oh great, that's awesome...(a f-ck!)"

    its a never ending battle...  our invites go out next week too...

    I have been getting quite a few NO's.  I send out my OOT and state ones last month and most are NO. Yeah... I  invited 90 and soo far 12 NO. I will be happy with 70-80 guest.

    omg YES!!
    we have a minimum of 150 for our venue so im hoping we have around that # if not much more.

    We sent out about 100-150 STDs...meaning like 300+ ppl are expecting to get an invite!!!  I know, i have a feeling it may backfire but prob all but 25 ppl are from OOT!!!! 
    My FMIL sent out over 50 herself to families all over the world she claims wont ever come! My friends list is around 50 total my fiances is prob 80?

    We are also hoping for some NO's. We invited some people cause we had to hoping they would say NO and now my mother tells me they may come after all. yikes!

    Yes! We are afraid that all the WRONG people will show up and the one's we really want there won't. Our guest list is 80 and I want about 50 to show.

    out of 105 guests i want atleast 20 - 25 NO's lol. i want a cute small 75 guest wedding! Ah im tempted to just send it out to those 75 people but i will get caught in the action lol ;p
