What's for dinner?

Yeah, I know it's early. But I'm uninspired and need FI to pick up groceries on the way home. So what are you having?

Re: What's for dinner?

  • Spinach caprese salad with breadsticks and dipping oil.  We're trying to go light with dinners now.
  • Happy Hour appetizers.

New Years resolution will start on new years. ;)

Yum, Fishy. Unfortunately, my recent Christmas cookie binge and my wedding gown are not friends, so I have to behave for the next few weeks. As long as behaving means I can have a glass of wine with dinner.
  • noodles and chicken in a pink sauce.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • Lentil soup and semolina bread. Not vegetarian by virtue of using ham base, but extremely low fat and high fiber nonetheless.
  • Not sure yet, but I want sausage pizza, so we'll see!
  • Ooh, pizza. Maybe I can make a healthy one with lotsa veggies.
  • Chicken tacos. They're delicious.
  • Hot dogs!  We're going to this place with like 30 kinds of hot dogs, and you can get any of them made with veggie dogs.  I already know which ones I'm getting - the "Classy Lady" (cheese sauce and crushed potato chips), and the "Chicago" (tomatoes, onions, pickles, relish, and celery salt).  Yum!
  • Chili and crackers. We had massive salads for lunch.

  • Prob. just a green smoothie. I just ate a huge plate of food.

  • Pot roast. Don't hate.
  • Cabernet pot roast, yukon potatoes, and baby carrots.

We got a crockpot for Christmas and Pete's breaking it in today.

  • We're having sausage, red beans and rice and cornbread.

  • I had ramen last night :) I hate that H works most nights during dinner time. I'm probably going to eat some sort of pasta (and I include macaroni and cheese, the kraft kind, in that realm of possiblity), but now I really want corn bread.

I really want some cornbread too.
  • I had refried black beans.  Shredded chicken, veggies and taco seasoning in a pan.

Threw all things on a whole wheat wrap with a bit of cheese, sour cream and salsa.

    It was good.  I'm full.
