Engagement shoot- help!

We are having our engagement shoot at the photo studio. We got a free shoot at the studio as part of our wedding package. Since the shoot will not be outside, is it ok if we dress up?  I mostly read that people dress comfortable, but I don't know if this applies to a studio shoot as well. Are there any colors that we should avoid?

Think how different it would be if you would have never met the one who changed everything...

Re: Engagement shoot- help!

  • You can pretty much wear whatever you like.  A bright top/dress always looks really neat in pics.  But my FI and I wore black.  And I wore a dress and his shirt had a design on it...so pretty much anything goes.  :)
  • Wear something that you both are comfortable in. It can be dressy or not. You dont have to be matchy matchy but do make it look like your outfits go together. You have a nice pink dress and nice shoes, he would have on a red shirt with nice pants and nice shoes or both in two different shades of blue jeans with two different neutral colored shirts. It doesn't even have to be that matchy. Long or 3/4 sleeves photograph better most of the time then bare arms or short sleeves. This is just from a photographers stand point.

Go have fun and be yourselves. If it would help you to relax bring in your ipod and play music in the background to loosen you up. It also helps dull the noise of the flash and camera.

  • Agree with pp to be yourselves, wear something that shows who you are.

Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
  • You can dress up or dress down. The engagement shoot is just to show the world how you two are as a couple so it's truly up to you :)
