Luciano's Lake Pearl versus Lakeview

Hi ladies!

I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on Lake Pearl Lucianos versus Lakeview Pavillion. I am about to sign a contract at Lake Pearl but I am still a bit hesitant because I feel they're overpriced and they refuse to negotiate. I have also heard that when there are other functions there you can hear them during your reception. We are looking at getting married in the Treep Top Room and I heard there was a prom that night in the west ball room.

I haven't looked at Lakeview but reading other knot boards, it seems like they are pretty comparable.  Is it worth it to put my Lake Pearl plans on hold and check out Lakeview??

Thanks for your help!

Yes, to be honest I also was worried when I looked there. I wouldn't have my wedding their unless it was in the tree top room because the noise does travel.  Lake View I have to be honest wasn't that impressive. My friend said that she went to a wedding at lake pearl and she said it was tight in there. So make sure you have a small number.  I would also go with a place willing to negotiate.  I have found that you have to say your interested in their business but it's out of your price range. What can they do to help you.  If their not willing to help you out what kind of business is that. I looked at so many places and I found the right place and very happy. Good luck.

I went and looked at Lake pearl and didn't book for that reason. I didn't like that there were so many weddings going on at once. I hear even in the tree top you get noise and the complex feels crowded. It is beautiful though...

I have also heard such mixed reviews about Lake View...

Have you looked any places that have just one wedding at a time? You may be happier.

I'm going to have to agree with the others.  We went to a friend's wedding at Lake Pearl over the summer and there were seriously 4 weddings in progress at once.  There seemed to be people and bridal parties everywhere...my friend had to wait on some of the outdoor photos, because another bride was in the area ahead of her.

Nothing felt personal and we remember actually feeling quite rushed, especially through dinner.

I can never understand why a venue would want to have so many weddings going on at once.  It must make it hard on the staff and managers to keep everything straight, but what do I know.

Just my 2 cents anyhow....sorry I have no input on Lakeview.

Im booked in the Tree Top Room at Lake Pearl for Sept 2011. I looked at Lake View and didnt get the same feeling I did at Lake Pearl. I have never been to a function there, but I have several friends and family members that have and they said they had a great time. I think Lake Pearl is well worth the money.

I am getting married at Lake View in May of 2012.  My brother actually got married at Lake PEARL two years ago...and I wasn't all that impressed.  It was nice, but it just wasn't for me.

The nice thing about Lake View is that this is what they do....weddings...and only one at a time.  They dedicate the whole day to you and they have everything down to a science.  They are also very willing to help with price if you ask. I like the setting of Lake View a lot more..and I love how romantic it is in the main ballroom.  The ambiance in there is amazing and they have put all of their attention to detail....

    LAKEVIEW!

This is biased becaused I had my reception at Lakeview a few months ago and have never been to Lake Pearl.  Lakeview was amazing.  I thought the price was great for the level of service they offer.  I was immeditaly blown away by the room.  When they opened the doors to the ballroom, I couldn't contain myself.  They were very easy to work with and have everything down to a science - they are very good at what they do.  I hate to be crowded and this place is huge - crowding wasn't an issue and the dance floor was the biggest I saw of all the places I looked (Indian Pond, White Cliffs, Pine Hills, Tirrell Room).  They only do one event at a time so every person that was working there was catering to me and my guests.

My husband's cousin had her reception there 2 years prior so I mentioned this to them when booking.  The night of the wedding, the two coordinators went right away and found this cousin and her husband to say Hi and gave them both (along with their parents) free drinks all night.  I thought that was a really nice touch.

Hands down Lakeview, my sister had her wedding there and it was amazing, lake pearl is like a big function hall with a bunch of weddings at once. Just my 2 cents:)

Yeah, I just wouldn't consider spending the money for a day where I am not the only bride/wedding on the premises. Plus, I would be very careful of nickle and diming from Lake Pearl.
