Good Morning!

So I don't know what has happened to the good morning posts in the past few weeks, but I'm starting one up again :-P

Here is a little update on my life since the last good morning post:

- I am officially off the crutches! In a brace until the end of the month but I am finally able to walk and drive my car. I am beyond thrilled. I will never take walking and having my car for granted again.

- We found an apartment! Last Friday I saw a small ad on Craig's List. It didn't have any pictures, but I sent an email anyways. We got an call back right away from the landlord, and we saw it on Saturday morning. It's a side by side duplex in Regent Square. The couple who own in live on one side, and we will have the other. It's over 2000 square feet (awesome!) with a kitchen, dining room, and living room on the first floor, 3 bedrooms and a bathroom on the 2nd floor, and a huge den on the 3rd. PLUS an unfinished basement for tons of storage and a new washer and dryer. Oh, and we have our own two car garage :-) The place is heaven. The bathroom and kitchen are newly renovated (the kitchen even has a little breakfast bar) and there is hardwood all through the first floor. We love the couple that owns the house and it will be nice to have them for neighbors. They are letting us sign the lease for July 15th, but said we could start moving our stuff in whenever.

- I had my first florist consultation yesterday at Blumengarten. I really liked Bob Ludwig. He was so sweet and had some great ideas. If I could pick based solely on personality I would pick him in a heartbeat. I will have to meet with a couple more florist though and wait for all the proposals to come back though. I am a little worried (as he was as well) about renting some of the items as they don't have all the vases I would want to use.... He will have to buy them basically and I have no idea what cost that might end up being.

    I  miss GM posts!

    My life updates:

I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding taking place on Thursday.  I'm really excited for my friend but holy crap I'm spending so much money.  We met Wayne Gretzky when we were out for her bachelorette last night which was pretty cool.  He gave us some marriage advice and was generally a really nice guy.  So that kinda made the night.

I'm finally not jetlagged but so unmotivated to do labwork.  It's summer, I just want to be outside.

I'm starting to call hair stylists for the wedding... not too concerned about it but it will be good to have it squared away.

sari - congrats on the apartment! It sounds gorgeous.  And that's awesome that your first florist meeting went well, I hope the quotes end up in the range you're looking for.

    Hi Ladies!

Been pretty busy lately! The count down is on and theres plenty to try and stay on top of!

Saturday we met with the music director at our church and picked the ceremony music (YAY!)

Sunday we got stuff for our programs, which I am making. I pretty much have the layout down and so now just need to print and assemble .. i think im going to need to recruit help though!

Last night I worked through all the remaining payments and when they are due so that we don't miss anything... not the fun part of wedding planning right?

Our RSVP date is fast approaching and we're waiting on about 28 responses.. heres hoping they are in the mail!

Tonight - i have a dress fitting (woohoo!) .. so hopefully will have more pics to share! so excited!

sarilynn - your apt sounds FANTASTIC!! Regent Square is a really cute area! So happy for you! FI and I are doing a walk there in Aug with the pup ..http://www.runaroundthesquare.com/

md - so cool that you met Wayne Gretzky! Where you in boston for the bachelorette? interesting that the wedding is on Thursday! It really is super expensive to be in a wedding... lots of fun but also lots of $$
What hair dressers have you called? I found that they book pretty early but im sure you will find what you are looking for!

db - I called Brooke Rockwell (who said she might be on vacation that weekend), and Pretty Hair salon (they are free).  Monica Kitta didn't respond to my email.

    Any other suggestions??
