Wedding dates

Hi everyone---
I just got engaged and am trying to pick a date for my wedding. My mom and grandma are telling me there are dates in July/August where you cant get married according to Judaism. But I am confused because I can't find anything besides T'sha Baav on the 8/9th of August. Does anyone know the rules here?

    Traditionally, Jews do not get married in the 3 weeks leading up to Tisha B'av.

    Jews also don't get married during the omer, except on L'ag B'omer. Omer is 49 days starting at Passover.

    glad you ladies found the link helpful, the chabad website has SO much useful information when it comes to weddings (and just about everything else jewish).  i fully recommend exploring it! 

    ps i'm not affiliated with chabad or the website, just really like it and want to share :)
