Day of planner

I have been looking into a day off planner. Are they worth it? I got one quote which includes the wedding day, rehearsal and a couple of meetings for 1450. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Re: Day of planner

  • I did not get a day of planner because my venue has a coordinator who will be there on the day of the wedding to ensure all our plans are executed. She will be there until about 9pm. I'd suggest you check with your venue first to see if you have a coordinator and go over what he/she is willing or not willing to do.

When I was thinking about a planner I did come across this email on this forum:
startedwithakissweddings@gmail.com. I emailed the planner and she is still offering $300 for day of cordination. She said her prices are low because she is just starting out. I have no clue what her service is like.
  • I was in consultation with Let's Party Consultants and they seemed really great. They offer the services you mentioned for a lower price. Their basic package starts at $700 and the rest of their services are a la carte. If you're interested in exploring other options their website is http://www.letspartyconsultants.com/

  • I too contacted http://itstartedwithakissweddings.weebly.com/ from this forum. I actually booked her services and I have really enjoyed working with her so far. She includes meeting with you at the venue to help setup a floor plan which is what we wanted. A friend of mine contacted her too and now she charges $450 as she has more experience and a lot of weddings booked for the year, I guess its worth a try.

I booked Diana of Truly Yours Planning for the day-of coordination and also to help us with decor. http://www.trulyyoursplanning.com/ She has been really helpful and creative. She answers my emails quickly. She will be attending the rehersal as part of her price.

I would suggest hiring an event planner that can work on the desired budget. if they can come up idea that cost within our budget, then it is pretty easy to manage everything. The only thing is finding a reliable one. for this, it is better to ask for recommendations. I had worked with an event planning company for the same and they were very Co-operative.It was ana amzing offer includinmg event catering as well as interior decor. I don't whether it comes within yours, but it was quite reasonable.

  • I also second Let`s Party Consultants - ask for Leena. She`s been in the business now for nearly 15 years.
  • I'm using AnnTheWhiteEvents.com ( she's out of Toronto) for our day-of coordinator. I've used her for corporate events and she's absolutely amazing! Her rates start at around $400.

If your venue comes with some kind of coordinator, I would suggest you use them instead of hiring one outside.
  • I attended a wedding that was coordinated by Aaron from A Man with the Wedding Plan. Although there was some waits between meals, it went smooth to the end. He is very organized with a detailed plan for the day on a time schedule and found out that the photobooth at the wedding had connections with Aaron. I really enjoyed the photobooth. It really added a fun element to the wedding and something for the guest to do when the breaks between the meals were a little to long say for if you had kids attending your wedding.

It was a fun day overall. Got to take printed photos from the photobooth home from the nice day coordinated by Aaron.
