How did you and FI/DH meet?

We met at my best friend's (his sister-in-law) BBQ on July 4th. Funny thing is, we had met several times before hand but never noticed each other. In fact, I was at his older brother and sister-in-law's wedding but we didn't even know each other was there.

On E-harmony. He'd belonged forever, I joined after being single for 7 years. He was the ONLY one that admitted to an interest in major league sports, which is a passion of mine. He had a Tigers t-shirt on one of his posted pics, my posted pic was taken at Comerica Park. We are going happily along with our sports passions together now.

Our parent's were performing artists together before we were born. I have a pick of my mom holding my FI when he was only 6 months old. I wasn't born until a year and a half later. We grew up in the same circles. My first memory is when I was 11 and I hung out at his house - playing with he and his brothers for hours while his mom braided my mom's hair. We went to the same high school and the same college and just became the best of friends.

We met on Yahoo! Personals back in 2002 when online dating was still kind of taboo! He responded to my ad entitled "Need a Little Sunshine in Your Life?" He was much better than the guy with crooked teeth and the dude with Tourette's that I went out with before him, so I kept him!

We met at a wedding. He was a groomsman for his Air Force friend that was marrying one of my sorority sisters (who are both now standing up in our wedding!). He actually had a trainwreck of a date with him that night who ended up passing out in the hotel room. He came to after party with us (the wedding was in Toledo), I found out he just moved to Michigan about a week earlier, I offered to show him around, and we exchanged numbers. He said he would call me a couple of weeks later because that girl was visiting with him for a bit. I didn't think anything of it, until he called me a couple of weeks later asking if I wanted to see some band play at a bar by his apartment (just so happened to be Valentine's Day). When it all started, it was very casual, but as soon as the ball got rolling...it was on!

We met at a house party in college. Neither of us went out a lot, so it was pretty lucky we both happened to be out that night at the same party. We also had both recently broken up with someone. I went to the party with two friends. One ditched me for another party, the other girl started dancing with some random guy, and I left standing there feeling awkward and was about to walk home when FI came up to me and said hi. We got to talking and dancing and I ended up having a great night.

So I gave him my phone number and that was that!

I subbed for a friends softball team, and FI also played on the team. we continued to run into each other at different parties and things for the next six months. Then he included me in a mass email trying to get a group together for the GLI. I was the only one that replied, and it turned into our first date. this year was our fourth GLI. in another funny twist, soon after we started dating, we realized I worked with his SIL a few years before we met (she was already married to his brother at that point). small world!

We met at the Founders Festival in downtown Farmington. I went there with my now MOH because she's from Farmington. We met up with some guys we went to school with and it just so happens that FI is friends with a couple guys that lived next to me at school! I'm sure I've met him before, but never really paid attention.

FI and I met on match.com. I saw his profile and it caught my eye. We had a lot of similar interests. So I emailed him. About a week later he emailed me back. We exchanged phone numbers and about 2 weeks later we met at Snookers Pool & Pub. We hit it off just like that. Our 2nd date was 3 days later. We went to a Red Wings game. By week 2 of us dating seriously, I knew there was something different about him and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. It took him a little longer, but after 8 months we had moved in together. The rest is all history!

We met at the gym I worked at. He was a member there and I did a lot of things - Sales and Managerial type duties.

I got a job at said gym through a family friend after I moved home from NY and was starting to get my life back together (in my opinion). He asked me out on and off around August and it took me until the middle of September to agree to a date. We've been inseparable ever since.

We met at work. I was there about 9 months before we got together. I had noticed him around the office, we worked in different dept so we really never got a chance to talk. A friend I worked with was leaving so we were having an after work going away party for her and he normally didn't hang out with "our crowd" so I invited almost everyone, so it didn't look like he was out of place with the ppl I invited Didn't think he would come but he did and I finally got a chance to talk to him. We've been together ever since.

We've actually known each other since we were in high school, although we went to different schools (I went to the Catholic school, him to the public). We would see each other throughout college at random times, but we finally exchanged numbers at the good old double olive in Dearborn one night! Who says you can't meet men in a bar?!?

we met on our company's bowling league. I had just moved to the area and was looking to get out of my apartment, but since it was halfway through the season I had to settle for being a sub on the bowling league. FI was on the team that I subbed on my first night. He remember my last name and looked me up in the our work's address book the next day and sent me an email with recommendations of good places to check out around Seattle. I emailed him back saying I needed someone to do them with. I ended up permanently subbing for their team
