Speaking of after the wedding.... what is the ONE thing you are most looking forward to after the wedding and honeymoon? Whether it be free time, more spare $$, moving in with your hubby, baby making, etc..... give me the ONE thing you are looking forward to most!

Building our house.... We have almost closed on selling our home and are currently moving into an apartment

.... So it will be nice to look forward to building our home together.

Ugh I just want my old regular expenses back!! Lol But the VERY FIRST THING we both decided to buy after the wedding is a new bed. FFS we need one sooo bad! I want the iComfort sleep system from Serta in a bad way.

Making some updates to the house! We're hoping to do new floors downstairs, new carpet upstairs, new cabinets and counters in our bathroom, and new countertops and hardware in our kitchen... not all at once, but maybe over the course of this year.

The house is 20 years old and its just a bit dated and needs some love

I agree with having my regular expenses back and less stress!! We want to make some small repairs/improvements to the house so we can eventually sell it and move closer to my family!

I am looking forward to not stressing over wedding plans!
I am also so very excited to move in with the hubby and make the apartment our home. FI is moving in, in Feb. to our apartment, I am so excited to join him!

Definitely being able to save some money instead of spending it all on the wedding. Also, getting settled into our new house (if we ever find one) and making it a home, and having babies to fill it up

Dude, for real. I keep thinking, it's going to be so gratifying in the end to think we were able to pull that much together out of our as$. That, plus it feels good to have worked on a goal for so long and have it completed together. Then, it's like...well if we were able to do <em>that</em> what else can we do/save up for??

Finishing up little projects we have going on around the house - mainly in the back yard and I have an itch to redecorate but that needs to wait until after the wedding when I have money back.

Other than that I'm looking forward to some baby making and just enjoying the time I have with him while he is home.

Going back "normal". I am so over all the wedding planning and I know that FI is as well. And plus we are going to start saving to one day buy land to build our dream home. And as sad as this sound I am REALLY looking forward to getting added to his dental insurance. My job doesn't offer it and I miss it so much!

Sounds like we're all ready to be married women!! haha.. I am definitely looking forward to getting back to watching my savings go UP so we can start to update our house (1960s.. plenty of wood paneling and brass to go around!!) and invest in more property.

One thing I'm NOT looking forward to is increased taxes... crazy how we'll have to pay MORE for being married. Augh

I think I am just looking forward to a normal wife. and having a HUSBAND! There is something so comforting about putting things in stone and realizing you are together for the long haul. I've waited 6 years to call him my husband and I can't wait to make it official....

Oh and maybe actually changing my Last Name!!! I've been dying to take his. As bitter sweet as it is.

When I saw the original post all I could think about was BABIES! lol

Pretty much all of what Kerry said, minus the TB (I'm still just the occasional lurker). Although we won't be trying until the summer. Immediate things I look forward to are having our normal finances back and selling our townhouse/buying a new home.

Well, I am definitely looking forward to having money to spend on frivolous things... but mainly, I am excited about babies! FI and I have been talking about having a baby a lot lately, and I think I may go on pre-natals next month. :-)

Having my home office back as an office/art studio and not wedding central piled with boxes and boxes of stuff for the wedding! And this will probably sound really bad, but I'll be glad when I can stay caught up on my grading at school. The piles get bigger by the day!
