Help Me Avoid Schoolwork :)

Re: Help Me Avoid Schoolwork :)

  • Dish Network lost a bunch of channels too. Including AMC. My mom is a huge Walking Dead fan and is not happy.
  • J, you're always thinking of ways to brighten the day for others.

I love Rush too, when I was in my late teens, early twenties, my biggest goal was to be able to play the drums as well as Neal Peart. That didn't quite happen. :p

  • I had Dish a few years ago and fucking hated it. Not as much as I hated Comcast but man, I hated it. They dropped my sports channel that airs my Twins games so I was livid. These channels here I don't give a rats ass about but it does suck for those who watch them.

No, it's not DirecTV, it's Viacom. Because Viacom wants to raise the prices of their 8 channels 30% and DirecTV said hell no. So Viacom dropped it and ran a smear campaign blaming DTV. At least, that's what I've been able to figure.

And we DO that. They still keep leaving shiiit here. GET YOUR MAIL FORWARDED, MORONS.

  • I'm catching up on the part of the thread I missed while I was in the alternate universe and so far, I've got:

Leisel, not believing you that you don't look good without makeup.

Poke, cherry vodka and lemonade sounds awesome.

Also, I think I may drink on my porch in a little bit.

Yeah, that's why. That' also why DIsh lost WE/AMC. I'm having Bridezillas withdrawal.

    Time Warner can die.

YOu'll probably have the same issue whenever their contract with Viacom runs up though.

We've had TW for maybe six months and I already despise them. I'm really hoping we can do something else at the new house. TW was the only option for us here at our rental.

    This, 100%.

I have priorities, like watching the new episode of The Real World. If it's really true that Directv has more customers than any other cable/satellite carrier, then Viacom is full of idiots.

If it raised my bill by a few dollars a month, I'd be ok with it, TBH, but I'm glad that DTV is trying to keep our bill the same.
  • Crash -- We didn't have a choice either because our apt was facing a certain direction where Directv satellites couldn't get to, or some shiiit like that. So we went with Dish at the time because fuuck if I EVER go back to Comcast.

  • The loss of We and all sucks. This is one of those times that I don't mind FI having Direct. Only because they offer the Game Day Package. Geaux Saints!
  • Angel, from the website: Palladia, Centric, Tr3s, CMT, Logo, NickToons, VH1 Classic, TeenNick, Nick Jr., Nick@Nite, Spike, BET, VH1, TV Land, Comedy Central and – of course – Nick and MTV.

We watch Comedy Central and MTV several times a week, so that kind of blows. But whatever. They say it shouldn't last for too long.

  • Hey!

I had a helluva day. One meeting got cancelled, so I thought I'd go to get my tire fixed during that time. Little did I know that I'd spend 2 hours at the repair place (it turns out I needed new brakes too), and nearly have a heart attack trying to drive through the rain to get to the animal shelter before it closed.

But I have two kittens now. The girl cat is super cuddly and just lies on H like he's her new bed. The boy cat is running around and playing with everything he can get his little claws into. He even jumped over the dog gate to play with my dog. I'm mostly keeping it up to keep the girl cat from getting scared of the dog. I now know that the boy cat is completely fearless. (I'm in love.)
  • I haven't had cable in 3 years and don't miss it or the cable companies one bit.

ZiZi, it's a clay based mask w/ mint. It gets all tight and tingly. I get cystic acne, and it seems to help draw the "crud" (TMI, sorry!) to the surface so you can actually get somewhere with treating them. Helps with shrinking pores too!
