Fitness Classes

So my friend and I are doing a 7 day trial at LA Fitness.  We tried spinning tonight and I loved it.  I was wondering what is your favorite class at the gym?

  • Well, I don't go to a gym to do it, but I love ZumbA

  • I do zumba classes, and I will be doing a bootcamp 5 week session.
  • I don't know what they offer at your gym, but some of my favorite classes at mine are:
    - Circuit (cardio and weight intervals)
    - Pilates
    - TurboJam
    - Zumba
    - Ballet Barre
    - Bootcamp
    - Pure Strength (group weight lifting)
    - Step Aerobics

    I'll try anything once, though!

  • At LA fitness the have "body works plus abs". LOOOOOOOVE that class

  • I liked the yoga because all the yoga videos and on demand are boring for me.. or I feel that way in my own house.. and usually stick to something like cardio.. but I like doing yoga in the studio or at the gym bc they can help you with your form.. and also you will more likely finish the work out when doing it with a group with everyone.. and everytime at home I want to just end the work out after like 10 minutes..

    but at the gym, it gives you that time to do it and relax and not worry about what's going on in the other room.. or etc

  • I am a fitness instructor.  I teach Body Pump, which is a weight lifting endurance class.  What's great about this class is that you are toning, which will burn fat.  You are also constantly moving, so you are burning calories  I have watched people in my class lose between 50 - 80+ pounds by taking my class twice a week  and running within the last year. I also teach Body Combat, whih is an intense mixed martial arts cardio class.  I usually burn about 850 calories in this class.  I personally don't like Zumba or cycling, but they are so popular at my gym.  In order to stay committed, you have to find the class that is fun and effective for you.
