Bridesmaid dresses

Hi! So only one bridesmaid has ordered her dress so far and the others haven't even gone to look yet. They are busy, they all have a lot in their own lives. I was just wondering if you guys thought it would be rude of me to ask their sizes and I could just get the dresses myself. There is less than six months left, the dresses are online and I don't want to worry about it anymore. I made a separate honeymoon account that could probably cover the dresses, and we can't go on our honeymoon until he summer anyways... Is that too neurotic of me? Lol. I'm just afraid they won't had their dresses in time and most of the girls are his sisters who I barely have met due to distance. Fi is so busy with extra work new promotion he hasn't remembered to ask and I feel weird asking his mom to check because I don't know her that we'll either.

Ina e sent Facebook reminders like every 2 weeks asking heir opinion on the dress I like for like the past 2 months. They get online I know, but no one has even respo des to me. My friend that hasn't gotten the dress doesn't have the money, so I was going to get here anyways. Also, of I get 3 of the 5 bridesmaid dresses should I offer to reimburse the other two? My cousin is the moh and I know she will get the dress soon.

I wouldn't ask them for their sizes to order, it might make them think you don't think they are responsible for getting things done on their own.

Tell them a date a couple weeks BEFORE the deadline and ordering so that you are giving them a buffer. Did you ask them what they could afford before you picked out the dresses? If you didn't, they might not be able to afford the dress that you have picked. In this case you would have to offer up money to at least pay the difference between what they can afford and the price of the dress.

What made you choose people you barely know to be in your wedding party?

I asked them all how much they could afford and made it well below that for everyone. I chose his sisters because they are his family and will be my family too. When we look back years from now I figure there is possiblity that I may not still be friends with the girls I am friends with, things happen, but family is forever. Hopefully when they get here in the wedding it will be the start of good friendships between the family as well.

I'll find out when the deadline for the dresses are and send them that. Thanks

I have picked a day and all of my bridesmaides and I are going to the dress shop and getting their dresses ordered. I gave them enough advance so they can have their money and the day free.

Definitely send them a deadline, if they haven't ordered them by then, then I'd be freaking.

I have 4 BM's at first only 1 my MOH ordered her dress. I told her that I was nervous about the other girls not ordering in time. One in particular was probably going to need alterations, so that was a concern of mine too. Anyways, my MOH sent an e-mail to all the girls explaining how long it took and how easy it was to order the dress. She also mentioned that the store said it would take 11 weeks for the dress to come in. Then, I was sent an e-mail with a coupon for the designers dresses (Alfred Angelo) that I forwarded along to each girl, so that pushed one BM along. I was trying to save them all some money, but only 1 took advantage of the coupon before it expired.

Maybe you can have the 1 BM that has ordered the dress send a pursuasive e-mail to the rest of the girls.

I agree with achiduck, send them a deadline and just let them know that you want to make sure they are ordered in time in case alterations need to be made.
