[QUOTE]Yes you can open your eyes but like Blue said they will fall out of your eyes and there are few things harder than trying to find a clear contact in a pool. Women would use strips of cloth, normally cotton or linen. Hunter/Gatherer groups would have a loop of textile/leather tied to a belt (so it went between their legs) that they would fill with grasses, bark, or wood shavings.

I have a general rule that wood shavings dont go anywhere near my vag. that is NOT the spot you want a splinter...

  • I think it just bugs me when I go on other boards and they talk bad about this one and are kinda snippy with those of us who only post on their board occasionaly.  I get that alot on a specific board.  Everytime I post there, there are 2 or 3 regs who ALWAYS have a problem with what I have said.  Even though others have posted something similar.

[QUOTE]I cant floss my front teeth, I have wires on the back to keep them from moving and my teeth are so tight I cant floss :( What did women do during their period before pads and tampons were manufactured? Do bugs go to sleep?

My mother used to tell me stories of what my grandmothers had to do. And yes there were cloths. Cant even imagine.
She remembers when pads first came out with the straps to hold them up.

There were straps in the Beverly Cleary books when Ramona or .. dangit I forget her sister's name.. gets their period.. I think. I read something about it as a preteen, so I am assuming it was Beverly Cleary. I was supremely confused as to why I would need to use a strap..

  • Mandy did that? That seems unlike her. I must have missed something because she is usually much more self possessed/aware.
  • In "ARe you there God, It's me, Margaret" she talks about the straps. I was like WTF.

I'm dying to make these http://bottegalouie.blogspot.com/2010/04/mac-attack.html but I want to make them for something. Not just for T and I

They do sell washable pads you know. Bleh...

Yes! This was not a Ramona/Beezus book. Oh how I loved that book. And, the one about Joel who got a hardon at his neighbor's pool taught me about life.
