STDs... What are you doing??

So I've been thinking lately a lot about our STDs and was curious what everyone is doing as far as them. Not magnets, postcards etc - but when you send them out are you sending them in your "theme" of your wedding or are you sending them for the season that you're currently in (or sending them in...)

I was thinking about sending our's out around Valentine's day - (as a SpEd teacher I'm making Valentines anyway and I think it would be fun to send everyone a Valentine!) But I do not know becuase I do love the "fall" look of some that I have designed!

We are having a photobooth at our wedding -- so we went with the photobooth strip style magnets with the text in our wedding colors. I didn't find any others that I really liked, so I figured they would tie in with the photobooth. There's a photo in my bio. I actually just ordered them last week and am anxiously awaiting for their arrival here at work!  Good Luck!

Honestly I dont think it matters. A lot of girls use a picture from their e-pics so it ends up matching whatever season those pictures were taken in.

We kept them with a purple theme which I guess did fit one of our wedding colors but didnt necessarily scream fall (which is when we got married).

You can see pics of them in my Planning Bio under Paper.

I like so many different things and don't want to limit myself to a particular theme- so I voted for something fun :-)

Ours was an engagement picture and the theme matched our wedding (damask theme). The Valentine's theme sounds really cute though!

One side note: Whenever I get a STD or invite in the mail, the theme of the invite/STD is what I assume the wedding is going to be like. I'm sure not everyone makes that assumption but I know a lot of people do. At our wedding there were quite a few female guests that had their attire match our black and white wedding theme, it was really cute :)

We didn't use much of a theme at all, just 4 of our e-pics on a glossy 4x6 photo with the text in silver.  Our photographer designed them for free, so I'm not going to complain!  The only thing that's themey is that we're putting them in blue envelopes (unfortunately not "our" blue since Paper Depot didn't have the right size envelope in our color) and I'm going to address them in plum ink.  Our formal invitations are going to be more impactful with our theme.

I really struggled with this question too.  I finally decided that I would just design something seasonal for the STD and then have a separate invitation style.  I'm still so indecisive on the invite style that I would have never gotten them out otherwise. We are doing it in a holiday theme.

I didn't do anything themey at all.
Ours was a heart magnet I fell in love with online. Half the heart was an E-picture the other half was Blue with White text. I picked Blue because it matched the Blue on FI shirt perfectly.

These could also fit your valentine idea w/o actually being a  valentine.

Ours don't have a theme either.  The photo we're using is in Sepia so the color goes with that.  Have fun with your STD's!

We're sending ours out in a couple of weeks as a "Holiday" card but without the "holiday" theme. They'll be printed with our other paper items (invites, thank yous, programs, etc) so they will be in our wedding theme.  We'll just include a message on the back about "Happy Holidays" and stuff.  I say just do what makes you happy and have fun with it!  :)

Our STD was not really a wedding theme, we just did a really simple postcard template of a map of the U.S. then colored in the state we're getting married in and put the location and date on the back.  Something simple and easy to DIY.

We used our e-pics which had a 1950s theme-- totally different from our Victorian wedding theme.

We didn't do a theme really, but we did use our wedding colors. I think I have a picture in my bio.... stephjeremywedding.weebly.com

We actually didn't use our e-pics, because we didn't take them until May.
