mmmm....we had bbq chicken on the grill the other night. it was amazing.

I could eat bbq chicken for every meal.

We had bbq chicken lastnight, it was delicious. I really just like bbq anything. I have a huge craving for bbq shrimp but I have none and nowhere is open for me tobuy any.

Bbq is the shiit. J suggested bbq for dinner but we have a fridge full of leftovers so I said no. But Whole Foods has such a great bbq restaurant inside. My mouth is watering. Thanks, Nebbulous.

Sco - When we were in DC Mon I wanted to run around yelling "the tourist are coming the tourist are coming" but then my parents started asking like stupid tourists. I felt like the teenager going "daaad hurry up, you are so not cool...."

Then my parents thought it would be a good idea to take the metro back at 5:30 pm. Yeah...that was ...fun?

Katie, that's funny, although we totally looked like tourists today with one of us having a backpack and two others with cameras around their necks. But hey. Whatevs. I did make it a point to joke whenever possible that we weren't toursits, until MIL asked where the Tidal Basin was. ::face palm::

Brisket is my favorite! J makes corned beef brisket. It's just not the same. Bbq'd brisket is the jam. My mid-west grandma made the best brisket. Nothing ever compares to hers. Ever.

I'm sinning by eating meat on Good Friday. Knowing I wouldn't feel like cooking tonight, I defrosted some red beans and rice (with ham) and heated it up. It is a favorite of both daughters, and I knew older child could eat it with a sore mouth. She's doped up on Lortab right now, so she's feeling no pain. I had to stop her from going out and riding her bike.

Oh that made me snort...

My parents are just bad with the metro and crossing streets. My mom was freaking out because the first train back to Falls Church was full and 'omg how are we going to fit we're going to miss the train OMG" panic attack. I pretty much grabbed the back of her shirt and yanked her off as she was trying to squeeze onto the train by herself with the doors closing. Chill mom, another one will be here in 2 minutes, we'll be ok.

I was a good catholic today, I had my one meal and it was a crab cake :) i might have some club soda or something though, because i need some fizzle on my throat, i think that would feel amazing.

She had 3 baby teeth removed, a frenectomy, and bands put around her impacted canines so that the orthodontist can pull them down into place with chains. She's been resisting the ice packs, but her appetite isn't suffering. She's eaten far more than me today.

Pfft, they have a target, its a whole 6 months old :P And we get our house for about...$400 less/month than we're paying rent on our 1 1/2 bedroom now!
The only thing I worry about is leaving my exotic vet behind since we have the chinchilla, I'll have to drive her to Fairfax if she gets sick again.

That sounds frightening. I had 2 baby teeth pulled, 4 permenent teeth pulled, my wisdom teeth chipped out (none of these at the same time), and I remember clearly NOT eating afterwards because I was in so much pain. Your daughter is a trooper.

There is NOTHING wrong with her appetite. Since 1:00 this afternoon, she's had a container of yogurt, 3 bananas, 3 slices of extra sharp cheddar cheese, a string cheese, strawberries, some Dove dark chocolate (leftover from my attempt at chocolate "tulips"), and a bowl of red beans.

FWIW, I had to get all 4 wisdom teeth chiseled out. I was swimming 2 days later. Kid definitely has my constitution.

The cliffs notes are that the board is now HORRIBLY misunderstood. From a bunch of poster we have gathered people seem to think it is the vent/whine board more than a place of whit and hysteria. In fact, I am ever sure the original asfb girls would be horrified I am carrying their torch as I am nothing close to their awesome. It is just undescribably sad/pathetic and we are jsut trying to wade through the shiit over there.

Just don't be surprised if every other post makes says something about how mean we are. I like it because in all honesty, it is very reminiscent of P&E before the switch. Or as close as we're gonna get.
