OOT bags..

I am working on our OOT bags for our wedding next weekend.  We are using sand buckets from the dollar store (they had pink and navy ones!!!) since we are getting married on the coast.  Inside each bucket are bags of Planters peanuts (which was founded in my home town), Cheerwine (NC product), moonpies (totally southern), and pretzels (just cause everyone likes them).  The buckets have our monogram label on them and I would like to attach a little tag to the handle with a cute saying on it about enjoying your weekend, thanks for coming, and what the significants of the contents are.  Anyone got any ideas..... My creativity is DRAINED!

I think that's perfectly creative! :) But I might be partial since mine are very similar - only I don't have the adorable buckets you're talking about. We're doing Sundrop and Cheerwine, peanuts and Lance crackers, and then we threw in some mini chocolate bars that I covered with monogrammed stickers plus jelly beans in prescription bottles with personalized labels since FI and I are both pharmacists. We also have a welcome packet with a letter, some directions, local attractions and local restaurants, plus some important numbers. I also went by the Gaston County visitors center and got Tourism guides that have lots of information on the area. Maybe throw in some gum with all the yummy treats?

are your attaching any type of tag saying hello and how they are significant? I wanted to do something like that with a rhyme or cutesy saying but I can't think of anything....

I googled this because I don't want to start working yet :)  Here are some I found:

"Welcome and thank you for traveling so far,
Be it by airplane, train or just by car.
We hope that you have a good time while you're here,
Sharing in our wedding happiness and cheer"

    "We made a little bag,
    completely full of treats,
whether your mouth gets dry and thirsty,
or you're in the mood for some sweets.
    It's just a small token
full of our love, hugs and kisses,
to thank you for the trip you've made
to see the new Mr. & Mrs."

AWESOME!!!  I google out of town bags I do not know how many times and never found any wording!!

I changed it up a bit to include why some of the things were in there...
We made a little sand bucket,
    completely full of treats,
There is Cheerwine from NC if your mouth gets dry & thirsty,
Saltwater taffy if your in the mood for some sweets, &
Planters peanuts from Suffolk, VA that just can’t be beat!
    It's just a small token
full of our love, hugs  & kisses,
to thank you for the trip you've made
to see the new Mr. & Mrs.

Don't know if you want tp make any more purchases but it would be cute if you put some Hersheys kisses and hugs in there togo along with that one line!  Like how you adapted it!

    Very Cute!
I didn't include anything that cute - but in the letter, I just thanked them for coming, and mentioned that there were southern treats for them to enjoy. I've already printed them, or I'd think about the cute rhyme too. :)
