hand cancelling in minneapolis

Hi - does anyone know of a post office in Minneapolis that will allow hand cancelling? Every one that I have called has told me flat out no.
Thanks!

I think the one off University Ave by the U does it.

Hmm...I just walked into my local post office (New Brighton) and asked them if they would hand cancel my invites and they said yes. I did go early on a weekday morning when they weren't busy - maybe that makes a difference?

My mom saved the envelope after it came through them maill and it definitely had been hand cancelled, so they weren't just feeding me a line.

It definately makes a difference when you go - and where you go.  If you call they're going to say no because they don't want to do it.  If you show up early on a weekday (Tues or Wed is probably best) and have invites in hand and are very patient (i.e. offer to let other people go ahead of you if they show up while they're cancelling) they're likely to say yes.  If they say no, ask what time you could come back to have it done.

We are going up to my parents house in Princeton to have them hand cancelled - they didn't have a problem with doing it when we asked.  Funny story...my fiance's Dad works for the post office and we asked him to do it and he clearly didn't want to, not sure if it's really a pain or what was wrong with him!  Fortunately, my hometown one had no issue saying yes!
