In this case it's X-box and apparently having no other way home. I'll more than likely have to drive them in an hour or so />.> Then I'll have to have a long talk with my brother about how you never throw a party at your own place. And when he sees the kitchen he'll be cleaning, hopefully the message will sink in. *arches fingers evily*
  • Any- We just got the 3rd season, and watched it all in one day. We need to ration our Big Bang, but we never do.

  • This class is honestly at the level of spontaneous combustion and/or bleeding from the orifices bad.  It's so boring.

I think The Crazies was completely terrifying.  I'm more of a Hitchcockian, psychological terror person than just plain guts and gore, so anything where people you've known forever slowly start going insane is scary.  The government involvement scared me, too.

Devil was good, but I'd wait to rent it or go on a discounted/free night.  I thought the basic storyline was pretty good, but the acting was choppy/melodramatic.
  • I also plan on putting our my fall decor when we get home later!  It makes me so excited when I can start putting pumpkins and scarecrows around the home.

Also, I originally typed that as "pimpkins" which would be equally awesome, IMO.
  • Yay pimpkins!

We bought this house two years ago, and I still have no fall decor. The only decorations we have are for Christmas. I should remedy that today.

I agree about gore not being scary. Have you seen the commercials about the little foster girl being hunted by demons or something? Looks scary.

  • Jas: I'm watching it online so I can only watch 3 and a half episodes, then I have to wait an hour. It's almost enough to make me drive the 20 minutes to town to rent it, lol.
  • Yes! Case 39?  (I think).  It looks really scary.  There were a few good previews that we saw last night, too, which makes me excited.  I love scary movies.

On a side movie note, I'm showing Vertigo in my film class and it makes me so happy to relive my San Fran experience.  Everyone told me that once you go there, you want to live there, and it was definitely true for me.  Also, my kids' reactions to certain scenes are priceless.  They alternate between making fun of and being surprised by the film.
  • Thanks, KD.  I'll be over in what?  8 hours?  I'll post a picture of my living room after we're done.

  • Im big on preparedness but Adam wont let me make a preparednes kit because nothing actually ever happens here so he says its a waste of money. I DO know where all of the "weapons" are, so that they are easily accessible - theres a big axe in the basement, a big fire poker in the livingroom, and many hammers. Its the best weve got but I think im terms of zombies its all you really need if youre determined. Ive gone so far as to draw up a diagram of our zombie plan so we know what doors to baracade, where teh central bunker location is, where teh secondary location is incase of a breach. Im as ready as I think I can be.

[QUOTE]Lot's of topics to choose from in this thread.  So here goes: Pumpkin cookies - I buy them he minute they hit the store.  Why not?  They are delicious.

This is the recipe I'm going to give a try:

They look SO good!  Unfortunately, I was distracted by kitchen gunk. (i peeked between the stove and the counter and was not impressed) so now I've got appliances pulled out and am doing some fall cleaning. Hopefully I'll still have time.
