Wedding Woes

Nevaeh is so 1999

Yet the name keeps creeping up in the SSA name list.

It was at 34 for 2009 and was 25 for 2010.

There are worse names, but I don't get why this name is still popular.

I can't figure out how a dumb, made up name has made a top 25 list.

Matthew and Michael are hated?  I can see being meh about them, but hate?

Oh well, one more thing for my kid to discuss in therapy.

I have to say that I agree with all the names on those lists, except for Matthew and MIchael. Those are nice, normal boys names. I wouldn't pick them because I have an M last name, but I can't for the life of me think of why they're 'hated'.

so many names to hate -- and yet i hate them all!  yay for hate!

i hate that i can find the "name" savannah on a rack of personalized keychains, but my normal, ordinary, old white lady name cannot be found.

I always said I didn't want my kid to have a name you couldn't find on the mass-produced stuff.  I was traumatized by not having "AuntFlo" hair barrettes in 3rd grade.    So we picked a name that is simple, yet pretty, and what I thought was common enough to have personalized merch.   Nope.   They have Caitlyn, Madison, etc. but no "BabyFlo."   Poop.
