Galveston Wedding

Anyone have and ideas on where a good place for a Reception in Galveston is? Anyone have pictures of them too??? Any suggestions are welcome!

    Hotel Galvez and San Luis Resort are very popular choices.

    I had my reception at the Tremont Hotel.  Most of my guest were from OOT therefore they stayed at the Tremont.  Everyone loved the hotel.  I got compliments for the rooms, service, food...you name it, people were complimenting it.  I was very pleased with how the reception/wedding went, maybe even shocked how well.  It was romantic and beautiful. I would definitely recommend the Tremont House.

    I had mine at the Tremont House. I would highly recommend  it. My cousin had her ceremony and recepetion at Roof Garden. It's a nice place for a smaller wedding.

    Other Venues: Garten Verein, The Lyceum, Galveston Historical Foundation Sites, Galveston Opera House, Galveston Island Convention Center

    Other Hotels: Hotel Galvez, San Luis, Moody Gardens, Hilton

    thank you all for the suggestions.Most are the ones I am looking at. right now I am thinking Moody Gardens, the San Luis, or the Tremont. I was thinking about the Galvez, but their rooms seem to be too big or too small. Do any of you have pictures you would like to share of any of them? I am having a destination wedding, and am not going to be able to go look at them until April, and I would love as much information as possible before I get there. Also, do any of you have suggestions on vendors? I need everything from hair and make-up to DJ and photo. Any info at all would be awesome!

    Thank you so much for all the information!! Your blog is awesome, and I am going to look into some of your vendors to see how I feel about them. Everything looks like it went great on your day!!

    I used Island Flowers for all my floral needs. Connie is kind of eccentric but her stuff is beautiful. I'll PM you a link to my pictures.
