Recommend type of hair pin.. help

I am looking at getting a set of the jeweled hair pins for my updo, but I'm not sure what type of pin. The lady who is doing my hair is out of town for a week, so I can;t ask her. Which one of these would stay the best in my hair?

U hspaed pins or regular bobby pins? I'm having an updo, kind of like this:

Only my bangs will be straighter

I had a mixture of the two types in my hair when I got married, but my personal preferred type is the bobby pin. however, they are used for different reasons, so if I were you, I'd just wait until the stylist was back in town and ask her, especially if she already knows how your hair will be done.

If they're jeweled, chances are they will be the straight, u-shaped ones. I would also wait though and just ask the stylist.

For updos like the one in the picture, you would need both types of hair pins. The two serve different purposes in holding hair.

The ones with the jewels will most likely be attached to the hair pins(U shaped), not the bobby pins.

Thanks guys! I think I'll go ahead and get the jeweled ones, they are actually holding white pearls. I can get htem off eBay for $8.00 if I act now since they are on sale!
