My fiance and I are making our own unique guest book.  I'm a cubs fan and he's a sox fan so we are having jerseys made.. His will say Mr. Ward with the number 08.. Mine will say Mrs. Ward with the number 27 (were getting married 8.27.11)  His invites will sign his jersey.. my invites will sign mine.. And when its all said and done we will frame them and keep them in the house.. most likely the man cave hehe but that way we get to look at it all the time!

Ours is a "Wedding Wishes Box".  People will fill out their names, etc on index cards and write a wish, draw a pic, or whatever they like and then file them in the box for us to read later :)  There will be a sign with a poem on it telling people what to do.  I just finished making it and I love it!  Here's what ours looks like...

We are doing a shutterfly book, with our engagement photos, and having everyone sign the photo pages.

    Love the sox/cubs idea :)

I'm doing a box like Rempala.  Covered a hat box in silk duponi and have decorative cards for people to write well wishes, advice or their recipe for a good marriage.  I'm just having them put them in the box.

BTW - Awesome box Rempala.  Looks professional!

We are going to do a simple photo album of our engagement photos with plenty of room to sign around.  I'll be making it out of a scrapbooking album.

We did find out, however, that since we do not have complete & full copyright to the photos (which is very rare for a photographer to relinquish), we are not legally allowed to use a website like Shutterfly or Snapfish.  There's a box you have to check when using those websites saying that you do have full copyright to all the photos you are using.  Since I don't want to piss off my photographer (and have him potentially sue us), I will just be doing my own version.

Also doing the e-pic signature book. I think I'll be using blurb.com because they have a great selection for that!

I used mypublisher to create our engagement pictures/guest book.  At almost every other page, was a blank page with a single love quote.

These are great ideas!  This is one of the things that I just have no idea what I want to do.  I would really love something that is unique and won't just sit on a shelf forever.  I saw an idea (don't remember where) that I really liked:  the couple picked out a photo coffee table book of the city they are from and everyone signed in the margins.  People ended up signing next to their favorite landmarks or places that meant something to them.....so we might do that and put a sign on the table.

idk....of all the things about wedding planning that should stress me out, it shouldn't be this!  :-)

We are doing a well wishes tree.  I cut up some white paper in pretty shapes then I stamped different words on the front.  Example: love, live, laugh, dream  Then I attached a black ribbon to the end.  My dad is taking branches and arranging them into a vase and hanging candles from different branches.  So when the guest write the message on the back they can hang it from the tree.  Hope this makes sense!

We had a poster made for us by an etsy seller that had two puzzle pieces - one with a map of the city where DH is from and one with a map of the city where I'm from.  On the bottom it had our names and the wedding date.  All of our guests signed it, and we will be having it framed so that we can always look at it.  Pic below of the poster before everyone signed it.
