Venues & Liquor licenses w/ State Shutdown

Hey ladies. I'm sure many of you probably have heard that a lot of restaurants & liquor stores are running low on their booze and with their licenses set to expire during the shutdown, won't be able to get more. It just occurred to me that perhaps venues that supply their own liquor may suffer this problem too in the coming few months. I could be completely wrong of course, but it is probably best to check up with your venue to be sure everything is all well with that! That would really suck to be out of alcohol for the weddings in the next few months.

    and in the Star Tribune Article they mention my venue, the Saint Paul Hotel....lovely way to start the day...

    Oh no. :( I wonder if there is anything that can be done. I know nothing about that stuff, but, ugh, how frustrating. :( We can only hope they get this stupid govn't shii figured out ASAP.

    For sure! If not we're going to see if we can bring our own and do a WI run. They have awesome wedding coordinators, so hopefully they have a plan.

      Aughhhh how awesome would this be?????  :)  Now I am hoping its still shut down and my venue runs out of booze...... but that is very selfish.... hmmm... instead I will just call it a silver lining ;)

    Well I think even if you could bring your own booze, they still need someone WITH a valid license to serve it, don't they? Not like that would be terribly hard to find, but still a thought to consider.
