Party Dress Express?

Has anyone ever been to party dress express in Fall River? I have fallen in love with a dress and it is only $850 at party dress express, but at other local boutiques, the dress is between $1,100-$1,200. Party Dress Express also includes free alterations. I was just wondering if anyone had ever purchased their dress from Party Dress Express and if their alterations are worth it or not?

I have been a few times, I got my shoes, my bridesmaids dresses, my flower girls dress, and my mother got her dress from there. We havent goteen as far as the alterations yet, but from speaking with their alterations department I have faith in their abilities. They have been amazing throughout the whole process, and I would absolutely recommend going with them. HTH

We got my bridesmaid dresses there - all five dresses look great, except that one dress came in the wrong size. The dress had the proper size tag on it, however, so it was a problem with the designer and PDE has promised my bridesmaid that they will alter it perfectly. We'll find out when she gets into town two days before the wedding!

Another friend got her bridal gown there and I think she had a great experience, because she was the one who recommended PDE to me (and that's why I went there for the BM dresses).

One of my coworkers used them and highly recommended them. I'm going in a few weeks with my BM's to start looking at dress options for them. (I so haven't made up my mind on their style)

I ended up using a consignment shop in Acushnet for my dress. I got a Maggie Sottero Grace dress for $600.00 and the dress fit perfect.

mkjpop's friend here -- I got my dress, as well as all 6 bridesmaids' dresses there, and I love, love, LOVE them. Their customer service was SO outstanding when I had a minor freak-out after my dress came in (I was a psycho and thought the color was incorrect - I was 100% in the wrong but they still offered to fix "their" mistake, and were amazingly nice about it!).

The alterations were perfect, too - and it didn't hurt that they were free! Mine were pretty simple - some length off the bottom and a French bustle - but Gen, the seamstress, was so amazing, I'm sure she can do anything you need.  If you can get past the fact that the neighborhood around it seems a liiiittle sketchy, I would *definitely* recommend it.

Feel free to PM me if I can answer any specific questions for you! :)

I got my wedding gown and veil from Party Dress Express. The staff were FANTASTIC, gave me lots of feedback and ideas about the bustle, etc. The dress was a Casablanca and was $200-300 less than other more upscale bridal boutiques. I am tall and they said that for an extra $75 they would have Casablanca custom make my dress to the length that was measured that day. It did not come that way. It just came in 6 inches of extra length (only needed about 3 inches more length) so I had to have a seamstress alter the whole thing which was a challenging process because of the style of dress it was. I didn't go with PDE seamstresses because they gave me a 20% discount for not using their seamstress and since it was suppose to come in a custom length, had opted not to use their services and have a tailor I know do the bustle. I don't know if it was an error on Party Dress Express or Casablanca but I was not happy with that outcome. Other than that, I was satified with PDE.

Thanks for all of your input! I do not need too many alterations, so I think I will probably go with PDE! I feel a lot better that most of you had positive experiences with them.

BEST PLACE EVER!!!!! I got my prom dresses, mother of the bride for my mom, my gown, bridesmaid dresses and bridesmaid dresses for my sister's wedding. The free alterations are awesome or you can choose 20 percent off! I chose the 20 percent off for my girls as they are out of state. I can't say anything bad about them, the people are friendly, knowledgable and awesome!!
