CAN I GO WITH THE FI AND GROOMSMEN??

I know this is an odd question. But I was wondering if I can go with my man and his groomsment to pick out the tuxes??? Hes not really sure what he wanst in terms of a tux and Im not sure either. Id have to see it on him. Have other girls gone with their FI?

My DH asked me to pick out the tuxes for them, which my mom and I did. He and his GM just placed the orders. I don't think there's anything wrong with going along so long as he's okay with it (which it sounds like he is).

I don't see anything wrong with it. To tell you the truth, I will probably go with Fi to pick out his tux because he hates trying to dress himself at all.

I went with FI and two groomsmen...as did my mom and FMIL...to pick out the tuxs. Nothing ordered yet, just a general idea and to let the guys know a price.

I just went with my FI a week ago, and no GM. It really wasn't a big deal, and I let FI make the choices he wanted, and gave him my opinion if he asked. Done and done.

Why exactly do you think you couldn't go? The wedding police will not arrest you for accompanying your FI on a shopping trip.

The truth is, most men can't dress themselves for weddings and need a woman's touch. So yes, go with them. Npthing strange about it.

To prove my point: My FI chose to wear a suit he had made for him awhile ago with a white dress shirt underneath. It looks very nice on him. We went to Men's Warehouse to get the vest together, because I needed to make sure it matched the color of my light blue dress. All that was fine (especially sicne we got the vest for $16!). So I asked if he had the shoes to match, he said yes.

The next day I went to check, and what do I find to match his light blue vest and very, very dark blue suit? DARK RED loafers! With tassle things on top! Thank God I checked, otherwise we would have been scrambling for new shoes just days before the wedding.

My FI wasn't sure what he wanted....I ended up picking out a few different things I thought he would like (plain white, plain black, and shadow stripes) and I'm going to let him try them all on to see what he likes best. I am going with him when he tries stuff on and I think at least one of his groomsmen are going to be there. I think he feels a little bit better with someone there to tell him what looks good (especially since his groomsmen are his brothers and they'll basically tell him he looks like a dweeb even if he looks really good).

FI and I actually went alone and then just told the guys what they were wearing (We got a budget from them first).

I know some people might be horrified by that, but honestly, FI's 2 friends never get dressed up (The one that's married seriously wore a sleeveless tunic and a tux vest to his own wedding and considered that "dressed up") for anything. They knew from Day 1 that I would "want them in monkey suits" for the big day (Which actually, DH was the one that really wanted tuxes), and they really just "didn't want to think about it".

I went with FI to look over the options, but he went to get fitted and made the final choice by himself. FI had a very specific idea of what he wanted the groomsmen to look like, so they weren't really consulted. We found a pretty reasonable price for them, and if any have issues with it, we'll chip in.

Sure. My DH wanted my input. He and I went alone to pick out the tux, and then he and his groomsmen came on a different date to get fitted.

Absolutely! My FI has no idea what to do when it comes to this sort of thing. He is expecting that I go. As long as FI has final say in what he is wearing having you there for assistance would probably be a relief for him..
