Paying for BM Hair, Makeup and Nails

So I've decided to pay for my BM's makeup since I'm bringing in a highly sought after MUA in my area and her prices, while totally reasonable for her talent is more than I'm comfortable with my BM's paying.

I feel like because I'm paying for their makeup, I'll be expected to pay for hair and nails as well.

What are all of you doing?

I voted none, i gave my girls the option of having their hair/makeup done and am not making it a requirement. They are already paying for their dress and shoes if they dont have the specific color i asked for, so I cant really ask them to pay for hair, makeup, nails, etc....
My requirements were for them to be presentable however and they couldnt throw their hair back in a ponytail, out of my 9BM, my MOH is getting her hair & makeup done. Then i know 2 of them will be doing eachother's hair & makeup, which they've done before, ive seen it for FI's sister's wedding and it looked great and I havent received responses from my other BMs but to save $ they usually do eachother's hair & makeup as well. 2 of my BMs are junior BM and im guessing one will go with no makeup and the other might have a cousin put on a little for her, not sure about hair though.
I am planning on getting them BM gifts, just not sure what yet.

My sister/MOH is a hair dresser, and is doing my hair, her own hair, and my one BM's hair for the wedding. Since there are only 3 of us, she said she would rather do that, so that isn't going to cost us anything, but I'm technically doing it for my one BM. I am not going to do makeup or nails for them, however, I am paying for their dresses, so that kind of evens it out.

I am paying for their nails as part of the spa package I am doing with them. Part of their gift. And they all love the idea.

I'm paying for make-up for my girls as part of their gift and told them the option of having their hair done was completely up to them. I'm getting mine done, so it would be easy for the stylist to do hair for who ever else wanted it

I am paying a MUA come to my apartment to do hair and makeup for me, my mom and all of the BMs. I am not requiring them to have any specific hair or makeup. I didn't really care if they got professional hair and makeup done, but I thought it would be fun to all get ready together.

I'm not paying for any of it, but I'm not requiring any of it either. If any girl wants to do their own nails or make up they can. If it's in the budget....I might pay for their nails. But I'll figure that out when we get closer.

You only pay if you are making it a must, hair makeup nails should be optional and therefor the bridesmaids costs.

I'm bringing in a salon team to come to the bridal suite for hair and makeup. I gave all the BMs, as well as my/mom FI's mom the option to use them or not but I'm only paying for myself. They are pricey, so I made it clear to my bridesmaids that it is totally optional and I wouldn't feel offended if they chose not to use them. 1 bridesmaid is getting hair and makup, another just hair, and my 3 younger cousins who are bridesmaids are doing hair/makeup themselves (one of my cousins is super talented at that kind of stuff, so she'll take care of herself and her sisters). My mom and FI's mom will also be using the hair and makeup team too.

My cousin is a hair/MUA and will be coming to do mine and my 3 bridesmaids. I don't know if she will charge me, but I won't mind paying because I know she will only charge me a fraction of what I would pay another MUA.

I think you should offer for the makeup artist you're having come do yours to your BM's, and just be up front and tell them how much it will cost. Don't make it a requirement to have it done.
As far as hair, like PP said, maybe some will want it done, and some will do eachothers.
Nails, might be a nice pampering thing to do maybe the morning before and you could pick up the tab for that, maybe making it a little easier for the girls who would want their makeup done to afford it?
Its hard for me to say exactly though, I'm in a unique situation being that I'm a hair stylist and a lot of the girls at my salon are offering to do updos for my WP and the moms and such for free just because they are awesome. I'll tip them what I would normally tip them for all of the girls' hair and I'm sure my BM's will too so it's a win win.
A friend of mine does airbrush makeup and is very sought after around here (vixidust designs) and she is giving me an incredible price because I have so many people wanting her to do their makeup. I guess that's really the only thing I'm "paying for" but I'm pretty much paying what it would cost just me to do it without Angela being my friend.
And nails...one of my bridesmaids works in the nail spa at the salon I'm at. She's giving all of us girls shellac manicures and rockstar toenails Friday afternoon after the lunch I'm having for my bridesmaids, flower girls, my mom and my FI's mom. Bethany won't let me pay her for it or tip, I've tried, so I might just go buy the stuff and make her use it.

Irish- I am paying for their makeup. I'm unsure about whether or not to pay for their hair and nails.

FWIW, the salon charges $47 for hair and where we all go for nails is $40 for a mani-pedi and another $10 if you want shellac.

Yeesh, you're generous. I'm not paying for any of it. I just can't afford to. I made everything optional for them though. I just asked around when I made the salon appointments who wanted to come along and gave them the pricing.

I'm with Caitlin; I'd love to pay for it but I can't afford to. I'm still thinking about getting my sister to do my hair just because it's so expensive, and there's no way I can pay for that for 7 bridesmaids also. I told them they should look nice and nothing really funky; besides that their hair / makeup / nails are up to them.

I'm not requiring it so I'm not paying for everyone. But I only have one BM that opted out of hair or makeup b/c of budget, and I've known her since we were kids so I'm paying for her hair. I didn't want her to feel left out.

Since you're paying for makeup, I'd do a spa thing with them and pay for their nails or skip the nails and let them do it themselves or do eachothers. Then they should only have their hair to cover, which shouldnt be a big deal. I think most people are either the type to have their hair done or do it themselves, and if they are the type that would want their hair done, they assumed they'd pay for it when they said they would be a bridesmaid.

I answered some other combination because I just don't know yet. I don't know who I'm getting for my hair and makeup yet or how much it'll be. I figure if it's expensive I'll help them pay for part of hair, because I'm sure they'd all at least want their hair done. Even if I just say "Oh, it's optional", I know I'd feel left out if I was in a bridal party and couldn't have my hair done because the stylist chosen was too expensive for me. Makeup I have no idea if I'll help with, and nails I know I won't, because it's very likely I'll be doing my own nails anyway. My wedding is in another province, so after spending all this money to travel there, I don't want them to feel bad because now they can't afford to get their hair and makeup done.

I haven't decided on who will be doing my hair and make-up, but I am considering on having someone travel to us in the hotel. I'm letting the BMs decide if they want it professionally done or not...based on their budget.
