Argh! Wedding dress delayed!

What the...?  My wedding dress is supposedly stuck in Redmond because of a train derailment but no one seems to know what train derailed.  Nothing on the news.  Frustrating because my friend who will be alterting/adding to it, moves on Tuesday to Oregon.  She will still be able to do it, but I wanted to try it on and make sure it fit okay and was "the one" (not available in local stored).

Thankfully the wedding is still 5 months away but...ARGH!!!!

So... who did you hear this from? That the dress is delayed cause of a derailed train?

Derailed train??  I haven't heard or seen anything about it either? So was it coming by train? Aren't deliveries made by plane and truck normally?

I hope it comes soon! How frustrating!

I've been tracking the package through UPS who is the shipping agent.  Their site suddenly changed delivery from today to "Exception" and the notes said it was in Redmond, WA and a train derailment was causing the delay.  I called UPS to find out more and that was all they knew; there'd been a derailment somewhere.  They also said the dress is in Redmond.

I'm betting it's an train derailment Monday near Whitefish Montana that has caused it but don't get why they keep insisting it's in Redmond.  Wish I knew somone who works at UPS!  LOL

I am waiting to hear back from my brother who is the Burlington Northern dispatcher for that rail line; he works night so as soon as he wakes up....  :)

I'm sorry to hear about your dress being delayed. I know a couple of great seamstress that can help you in case you need alterations. I used to work at a bridal shop that closed down last year and the seamstress that worked with ous are very experienced and they usuallly only need a couple of months to start alterations. Let me know!
