I fail at drinking.

After several glasses of margaritas, I was talked into doing a shot. My first ever, and it was jose cuervo gold. I got half of it down, tried the second half and spit it out. I'm 23! I'm supposed to be good at this! Happy new years ladies

Don't feel bad. Shots aren't for everyone. I'll do one from time to time, but I haven't done more than one in a night since high school. I'm a wine/mixed drink person now.

When I used to live with my parents, they went away and I decided to throw a party. I guess I was maybe 20 at the time. One of my friend's boyfriends took a shot of sambuca (so very easy to shot) and instantly threw up all over the kitchen, mostly under the dishwasher (god knows how). Talk about messy.

Moral of the story: At least you didn't proceed to throw up!

When I talked H into doing a shot of 151 with me last summer I made him do it outside for just this reason. Thankfully it didn't matter.

I took my first shot in 5 years at my b-party last May. Thankfully it was a yummy/expensive one because I usually end up spitting them out or choking on them.

I used to be able to shot like there was no tomorrow. My ex bf and I once shot a whole bottle of green chartreuse (actually, it may have even been at the same party as above). It was really bad- I have no memory from 10pm and at that time I'd had two shots, but apparently more were consumed.

Since around that time, I haven't had the inclination to shot. I have difficulties with any hard spirits now; when we were in germany, everyone was drinking schnapps; I had such difficulty doing so that in the end I gave mine to H. I just can't stomach that strong, burning stuff anymore!

One of my first shots was vodka. I spat it out and somehow it ended up going up my nose. Not the nicest sensation!

I took my first shot (Cuervo) in a crowded bar.....good thing it wasn't crowded since I had to race to the bathroom to spit most of it out on my own before it had the chance to end up worse....def never been a shot person

I took a shot of 151 in college. My throat hurt for days! That stuff is like acid. But I do like it in my rum runner

Ugh- I HATE shots of straight liquor. Even in my drinking prime of college I couldn't stomach straight liquor shots- I have to get the girly ones like Red Headed Sluts or Purple Hooters. If the guys buy me something strong, I usually have to take it in two half-shots.

And sorry I missed your post the other night, I had gone to bed. We were 100% in agreement on that thread. And yes, my puppy is cute, but he may in fact be psycho. That boy is HYPER.

I took a shot of Dubra (vodka) my freshman year of college. I was already totally wasted and someone said "Try this! It tastes like ACID!" and I was all like "Cool!" and I took a shot and ew ew ew. This was after I had taken 8 shots of Smirnoff and couldn't taste much of anything anymore, so I guess that's a bad thing then if the Dubra tasted awful!

Don't feel bad, I'm 25 and still can't drink more then 3 mixed drinks at home and maybe 5 or 6 at the bars (only when they have the $1 drink special) So I fail at drinking too..
